I have a laptop with Win8.1, and I decided I should upgrade it to Win10. While it was updating, I plugged my phone coector for it to charge. Then I realized that all of my USB ports are not working after the Win10 upgrade. I decided to look up for certain fixes, yet I caot find one. Having no idea on what to do, I brought my laptop to a technician, and he says I should downgrade back to Win8.1 to see if it works. But it failed so he tells me to downgrade to Win7. Still, my USB ports are failing to recognize any of my USB media. So I asked my godfather, who apparently has an idea on how to fix it. So he says to restore it to the Windows version when my laptop was first bought. However, after ...

Similarly, when I'm in a window which has some kind of list (ex. drop-down), the scroll controls the selection of that list. In order to scroll entire window I need to press and hold a control key (which I find aoying). In other operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) the scroll always controls the scroll bar of entire window. Can I configure Ubuntu to behave like that? Let's block ads! بخوانید...
ادامه مطلبBecause of the snapping in Windows (search for "multitasking" in settings), when you move a window from one monitor to another, you need to drag it fast, otherwise it will try to maximize the window (but only fill half the screen). Is there a way to disable this between monitors completely, but still keep the snapping part for the sides without another monitor? Example: MONITOR 1|MONITOR 2|MONITOR 3 Behavior I want: When I move the window between MONITOR 2 and MONITOR 1, it should move freely (like if snapping was disabled). But when I try to move the window from MONITOR 2 to the free space above, it should simply maximize the window (just as it does normally). Let's block ads! بخوانید...
ادامه مطلبWhen I did a full reinstall of Windows and Linux Mint, I changed all the settings of the mainboard to boot in UEFI and tued off all compatibility settings like xHCI hand-off and so on. I was at first very happy with these settings because the computer would boot faster and finally sleep would also work with Linux Mint on my system. I can use the keyboard or mouse to wake up the machine, but after that both are not working anymore, meaning I have to press the reset button and restart the computer. It behaves the same on Windows 10 and Linux. I suspect another weird thing might have something to do with my issue. From the first day I had my PC (in BIOS mode), if the PC was completely tued off,...

But it works in applications (i.e. iceweasel, Gnome terminal, etc.). I can move the cursor around but button clicks won't work. After some searching, I was able to configure rc.xml and use Alt+F1 to open the root-menu. The problem is button clicks still don't work at desktop. The problem happens also to Blackbox and Fluxbox. Any idea? Thanks. # Content of ~/.config/openbox/ autostart environment menu.xml rc.xml The following is part of my rc.xml file. One mouse glowed red, meaning its plugged it, but it still wouldn't move. The previous owner of the computer said that the mouse she used wasn't a USB. So, is it a PS/2 Interface? And just in case its helpful, i can't get passed the login screen as the mouse will not move at all. And on an unrelated topic, i cant coect my keyboard either. ادامه مطلبIs there a windows options to display when the mouse is clicked in Windows 10?Similar to the animation for locating the mouse via CTRL? I do screen recordings for software testing. I can set these options in a mobile environment (Android OS Phones, Tablets, Mobile Screen Capture Software, etc...), but I can't seem to find the same option when I am testing desktop/web applications. I currently use SnagIt 12 for screen capture, but even the show mouse cursor options do not display an animation when I click the mouse. I need to visually show if a feature/button is not working as it should when I click on it. Thank for the help Let's block ads! بخوانید...
ادامه مطلبAre there any solutions available that would enable sharing a mouse and keyboard coected to a Windows machine (specifically Windows 10) with a Mac ruing OS X Yosemite before the Mac has been logged in? I have been trying to get Synergy to work for a while now, but it seems that (if I can even get it to run prior to login) it gives me error messages evidently resulting from lack of access to the window system (This post suggests that it may be a sort of bug in synergy, and I remember the synergy website once outright stated that starting before login was not supported). Are there any other options that would not suffer from the same issue, or is OS X Yosemite simply too locked down to allow t...

I installed the relevant guest drivers, including all virtio drivers and spice guest tools. ادامه مطلبI am using Fedora 23 with Gnome and the latest Citrix Receiver. I need to use Citrix to open Windows applications for work and I am having an issue where when I try to maximize or full screen any application, the Gnome top bar seems to get in the way which causes me to have an offset cursor. I need to click a full cursor-length below the object I want to click on for a click to register. My "solution" so far has been to run Remote Desktop Coection in 1440x900, but I'd rather take advantage of a full 1920x1080 work space. Does anyone know of a way to make Citrix applications override the Gnome top bar? Let's block ads! بخوانید...

ادامه مطلبSometimes while I'm working, I notice that tmux is no longer responding properly to mouse controls (usually as I try to scroll back a pane using the mouse wheel and get iTerm2's own scrolling behaviour instead). What could be causing this? I'm using Karabiner to map Ctrl taps to Esc, so I suspect I'm "accidentally" tapping Ctrl (thereby emitting Esc) and then pressing some key or other that deactivates mouse mode. I can restore mouse functionality by detaching and reattaching. Any ideas? Let's block ads! بخوانید...
