Mouse renames documents when I'm saving in Windows 8.1 pro

Every time I try to save a document in Windows 8.1 pro, when I open the folder to which I'd like to save the document, the "save as" takes on the name of the first document that the mouse hovers over. I really don't know how else to put it. I need to click on the folders really quickly and move my mouse away so that I can save things with the title I want.

Any suggestions would be truly appreciated, as this is quite aoying, as well as wasting time when I need to go back and reconfirm what I want to call the document! I've searched, but can't seem to find anyone else with this issue.
