I have a laptop with Win8.1, and I decided I should upgrade it to Win10. While it was updating, I plugged my phone coector for it to charge. Then I realized that all of my USB ports are not working after the Win10 upgrade. I decided to look up for certain fixes, yet I caot find one. Having no idea on what to do, I brought my laptop to a technician, and he says I should downgrade back to Win8.1 to see if it works. But it failed so he tells me to downgrade to Win7. Still, my USB ports are failing to recognize any of my USB media. So I asked my godfather, who apparently has an idea on how to fix it. I have used synergy alot, but at the moment I have a setup where I have two PCs on different networks (one secure (Windows) and then other non-secure (Linux Ubuntu 64bit)) so can't link the two networks. I saw this: synergy-through-usb from another post somewhere. Looks exactly like what I need! However, it looks like a pain since I have to compile it on my windows and linux boxes which I am (slowly / painfully) trying to figure out in the background. So my question is this: - Is there an easier, pre-compiled tool (like original synergy) that does this? - Has anyone got compiled versions of synergy through usb for windows and linux 64bit? - Any alteative solutions also welcome :) This entry ...
