What's the best way to clean a keyboard and mouse without shutting down/unplugging?

Is there a screen I can access to disable all keyboard/mouse input? I've tried applications like KeyFreeze, but Razer peripherals have extra keys that make it past the input blocking. I'm on Windows 8.1.
