Just searching on the MAC will only give you the vendor. It will never show you in which hardware the component with the MAC was used. (Think of it as finding the vendor name for a lightbulb, which does not tell you in which device the bulb was used). But given that you have the MAC and almost certainly the IP, you can use tools like nmap to find out more. If you do not like command line tools then try the zenmap wrapper around nmap. I have a HP v229g 32 GB flash drive. A few months ago I gave it to a friend to install a software on his computer and after he retued it to me,it stopped showing up in anywhere. The only place it is still being detected is Windows' Devices and Printers where it shows up as an "Unspecified" device. It does not show up in Disk Management though. I'm plaing on getting the Intel i5 6600K which, according to Intel, supports 16 PCIe Lanes max. Now, I've searched around a bit, (also read through some forums, but they weren't too clear) and according to Linus' benchmarks, it's not a performance issue to tune down on one lane a bit. However, at the end of the video (about 6:40) he says that in configurations that use other PCIe devices, some lanes might actually be disabled. Here's the minimum of PCIe devices I'm goa use: 1 Asus Xonar DGX Soundcard (PCIe x1), 1 decent GPU (PCIe x16), 1 WiFi card (PCIe x1) Now, it's obvious that the GPU will only use an x8 Lane at best, since the CPU supports no more than 16. Our DHCP delivers the address of an inteal (working) NTP-Server. However our firewall reports a "massive" Storm of NTP-Requests (from iPhones, iPads) trying to contact some server on the inteet. Swapped old drive for a new Panasonic BD ROM disc drive. It is behaving erraticly. I can hear it spin when discs are not in and I've noticed that buing data with ImgBu is haphazard, cause looks like the drive is opening itself at odd times, and some of those times is during buing, causing a few coasters. I have an application that creates a tun device (think a VPN), and I've set up a tap device on the same host that's coected to a bridge (OVS, actually). What I'd like to do is have all traffic from that tun interface "route" through the tap device. I'm using quotes here because I know that since routing is an L3 operation I can't actually route the traffic into the tap interface. It seems like you can boot from a USB device without a bootloader to me. Even my 6 years old computers that still have a BIOS. From what I read the BIOS simply looks for an mbr, loads it and executes it. But I have never knowingly written an mbr to any of my USB devices. So how is it that I can still boot from them when certain files are present? I doubt that the mbr could be inside of a file, because how would you ensure that it is exactly at the begiing of the partition. So what am I missing? Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Would like to use an iOS device ( iPhone or iPad ) as a receiver for video streaming. Ideally the protocol would be AirPlay but it doesn't have to be. Main goal is to show one iOS device's screen on another. Are there any apps or technology available that would support anything close to this? Creative ideas welcome such as live streaming of one iOS device to YouTube and then have the other device viewing the live stream.
