My PC wifi can't detect a particular hotspot device

Just few days ago, I was able to use the wireless hotspot network ICTD5 in my work place. But now, my computer is not able to detect it. It can detect other networks including my phone's hotspot but not ICTD5. I've been able to use the inteet on ICTD5 using my phone and my tablet, but my PC just can't see ICTD5. Other people's PCs can. I've installed the latest driver for my wifi adapter as well as tried different things I saw online like uninstalling and reintsalling the adapter, disabling and reenabling it, restarting my PC etc, but none have worked. I'd appreciate any help in finding what is going wrong. I use a HP G60 G3 with Ralink RT3290 wifi adapter. Let's block ads! بخوانید...

How to install libelfg0-dev on ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64bit version

I am trying to setup Open-TEE environment by following the instruction from https://open-tee.github.io/documentation/ The Open-TEE requires installing libelfg0-dev. But when I run sudo apt-get install libelfg0-dev I got following error: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... How to transparently tunnel a local device to appear from a remote address?

I'm looking for help with a networking problem. Unfortunately I only know the bare minimum in this area and am not even sure I've been using the correct terminology for what I want to do, so I've run into a bit of a dead end while searching for answers. Basically I need to access a remote service over the inteet - for purposes of explaining the situation let's call it "X". This is a private service that involves a range of IP addresses and ports, and for security purposes only allows access from white-listed IPs. I have a server (let's call it "S") ruing Debian Linux which has been white-listed, and I often use openssh with the -D option to create a SOCKS proxy to browse web pages on X from ...

Schedule task when USB device (Keyboard) is unplugged and plugged in

So I would like to schedule a task to run a specific command when a certain hardware (usb) device is unplugged, then another command when it is plugged in. The commands: #Unplug nircmd monitor off #Plug in nircmd monitor on I want this to use as little resources as possible (to keep scripting to a minimum, e.g. I'd like to avoid setting up a constantly ruing background script, task scheduler by itself should be able to do this job), I'd also like to avoid installing 3rd party software if it can be avoided. Just about all the information I was able to gather is that there is a logfile C:Windowsinfsetupapi.dev.log which logs all "Device install messages" (Plugged in) but it does not seem to tr...

How to change (via command-line) setting for "use device" / "don't use device" on Windows 10?

I have a microphone which does not have an off switch. It is USB and, if coected, it is powered on. Normally, I don't want the microphone on so I have to go into "Sounds", right-click the device, and select "Enable/Disable" or select "Properties" then "Use this device/Don't use this device". It would be more convenient to have an icon or something I could just click once to enable/disable. I've tried some of the suggestions with devcon but it enables/disabled the driver itself and doesn't really work well. Also tried nircmd but couldn't find anything that really met my need. Performance with multiple instances of rsync across different direct-attached storage devices?

Would ruing multiple instances of rsync with all the sources and destinations on different direct-attached storage devices cause any performance hits, or would the speed limits for each individual rsync transfer be due only to the read/write speeds of the direct-attached storage devices within the individual rsync commands themselves? For instance, suppose I want to transfer: Camera Card 1 to Direct-Attached Hard Drive 1 and Camera Card 2 to Direct -Attached Hard Drive 2 If I run these rsync commands simultaneously, will the two rsync instances slow each other down, or will the speed limit for each individual instance still just be whatever the slowest device read/write speed is within each ...

How does a router monitor traffic between two devices on a switch

I recently set up a small business network, and am constantly leaing more about how networking hardware works. It is my understanding that a Layer 2 device (Dell 48 port managed switch in this case) will switch traffic based on Mac Address once it leas which devices live down each port. This way not every device in the network sees every packet (obviously broadcast and multicast can be exceptions to this). In this case, I have a Dell SonicWall router coected to the switch serving DHCP. On the SonicWall there is a packet monitor feature that lets you watch for packets originating from or going to a specific IP. If I ping one computer from another computer, both coected directly to the switch,...

Are Firefox Nightly and Chromium Dev insecure for general use?

I was wondering about the feasibility of using Firefox Nightly or Chromium Dev chael as my primary browser. I can live with the occasional crash or broken extension, but I was wondering if they are less secure than the stable releases. Firstly, I assume the developer chaels receive the same security updates as the stable release, at either the same time or faster. Please tell me if I am mistaken. Secondly, there is the question about if the new features in the developer chaels, which are buggy, cause insecurities. Presumably yes, because many software bugs can be used to bypass security mechanisms. But on the other hand, it's extremely unlikely (at least I assume so--correct me if I am wrong...

What is a good process for full development cycle - from git to production server?

We have around ±130 projects: ±50 Custom Old Cms Projects ±40 Wordpress Projects ±40 Laravel Projects The first one quite often requires unique environment setup (specific php, mysql etc version) the later two are quite consistent but might have some projects that require additional modules/configuration aka I don't see a problem with having one setup for all of them. I'm trying to restructure the whole deployment process (currently it's all manual + a lot of problems arise from having completely different environments on each developers machine and servers) from Git/SVN to servers to be automatic. Problem is that there are so many options out there (some of which I don't have a complete und...

Not all subnets in OpenWRT can access internal device via WAN

On my OpenWRT router I have such interfaces: Lan1, physical interface eth0, IP address 10.10.0.0/16 Lan2, physical interface eth1, IP address 10.11.0.0/16. Wan, physical interface eth2, IP address is provided by ISP and bound to my domain for example www.my-host.com. My zone and forwarding configuration is: Zone => Forwarding Input Output Forward ---------------------------------------------------- lan1 => wan lan2 ACCEPT ACCEPT ACCEPT lan2 => wan lan1 ACCEPT ACCEPT ACCEPT wan => lan1 lan2 REJECT ACCEPT REJECT Now I have a HTTP server in the Lan1, say 10.10.0.10:80, and I have added a port forward rule on the Wan so I could access it via http://www.my-host.com:80. And now I get results: Loca...

Debian stable: xrandr default rendering device

Sharing Internet connection to other devices through a router

I tether my phone to raspberry and want to share its coection to the other devices. I first tried it other way around (windows pc sharing the coection) using the instructions posted on here : Setting up wifi router as a switch for Inteet Coection Sharing I followed those instructions except that I'm using the raspberry. I believe everything is correct so far, I just need to set up the equivalent for the tap in Windows 7 "Allow other network users to coect through this computer's Inteet coection." Simple DHCP server for just one device

I am building a small system that has one embedded computer and one etheet device. The embedded computer has a fixed IP address (from the manufacturer), but the etheet device uses DHCP to get its address. Is there a fast and easy way to let the embedded computer give the device an address? It runs Debian, but I want to try to avoid to use apt-get to download new packages, as it will be extra work (coecting the inteet, setting routes, etc) when building more of these systems. I am thinking of a simple drop-in dhcp server. I experimented a little with pydhcplib, but that seems a little immature. Let's block ads! بخوانید...
