I am ruing Windows 10 on a Lenovo T440. The system has been upgraded to the latest drivers and system patches through Windows first then Lenovo's System Update app. I am experiencing, what looks to be, a memory leak. The system and compressed memory process is taking up about 250,000k. I found an article describing the process of identifying the specific driver from poolmon. I tracked it down to the ConT pool tag. When I use findstr it tells me many times that Line XXXXX is too long. So, how do I find the driver that is taking up the memory?Related question: Windows 10 high memory usage (unknown reason) This entry passed through the Full-Text RSS service - if this is your content and you're r...

But how does grub find the correct device in which the boot partition resides? In grub legacy, you'd usually install grub to a specific partition, using # grub-install --root-directory=/dev/sda So it's quite clear where it will look for the boot directory. How does grub-efi figure out the correct device? Using grub4dos I was able to load the windows setup exe buy during the installation I accidently clicked the wrong option which reformatted the entire hard drive. Including the files which it was trying to install. Obviously this failed but now I'm left with the predicament that I do not have any OS on the laptop. I have since found m...

I want to switch to Linux as I hate the imbued marketing drive in Win10 despite being a good overall gaming platform. There are of course a lot of little considerations in actually making the switch. Since there is no native Linux support for Razer Synapse, what will I be losing in using a bunch of Razer products in Linux? Razer has some amount of on-device storage as well as cloud syncing.
