report which /dev/usb file is associated to a given vendor:product code

I need a programmatic way to determine which of my files /dev/usb/hiddev[0-9]' is associated to a given USB peripheral, given thevendor:productcode of the USB peripheral (which can get from usinglsusb`).

That is I want a command which-hiddev that works like this:

which-hiddev 0123:4567  -->  /dev/usb/hiddev3
