Ok, I already read how to swap fn / ctrl in bios. I enter bios, then go to Keyboard / Mouse, then Enabled Fn and Ctrl Key swap and also enabled fn key as primary function. Success. I'm an L2 helpdesk guy and I have a user whose Lenovo L440 will not connect to wifi. The wifi icon in the notification area shows a red X and the "tu wireless on" button is greyed out in the Mobility Center. When she presses F8, it shows that wifi is on. I got a wifi extender, prolink at the start of this month. The speeds were much better on the extender, while I only got 2 bars from my router which is downstairs and constant connection drops and slow speeds. I wanted to know why is it necessary to reinstall the operating system when a CPU or motherboard change is made. I once changed the CPU in a Windows 7 and it got detected automatically.
