Since this site asks for questions to be "answered", I will do my best to accommodate for this. Please know if you come to edit this opening statement, I will re-edit the question and add it in again. Yes, this is necessary.
On to point:
I use my desktop PC for both casual & gaming purposes.
Out of fear that I'll eventually screw it up, I've been trying to be careful with it after gaming by doing the following:
- I only play games on my PC for about an hour.
- After playing, I immediately shutdown my PC and let it cool.
- I try to only play during the weekends, but if time allows it, I'll play when I have the chance.
The only game I own for PC, via Steam, is the latest Naruto game.
I only have fans running and don't have a water cooling system.
My main worry at this moment is that I'll eventually run into problems due to improper maintenance of my system.
My specs are:
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti
- AMD FX 6300
- 16GB RAM
- 600W Evga PSU
From the above, would you say I'm following "best practice"?
If not, please list why and if you can, feel free to leave any tips, recommendations, or guidelines on what I should do for the future.
P.S. - I do clean out my tower every 6-months or so. Haven't really gotten into the habit of doing it more than that.
