I have Windows 10 on a Surface Pro 3. I am trying to use Visual Studio Code. Unfortunately, there seems to be no combination whatsoever where I can run my program. I run into a problem with my exteal HDD, i used it for backups but when i reinstalled windows (and forgot to remove the HDD) my HDD got whiped. After the whipe suddenly my HDD splitted itself into multiple Disks. Ive tried evrything and googles alot but no succes. I would like to bring it back to one disk, just like it was when i bought it. How to configure CIFS that local and domain users have fast transfer speeds? I do have massive performance issues using CIFS / SMB / Samba in combination with users. It's independent from Active Directory (AD) being enabled or disabled. Local as well as domain users transfer data really slow. There as guest user is fine. However I'm not able to figure out that causes the bottleneck for authenticated users? And how to configure samba to avoid the problem? So Chrome freaked out one day and wouldn't load any pages. After completely uninstalling and reinstalling and reinstalling again using the dev chael and tuing off account sync and removing all history from the servers (ouch), I actually got it to work again as a browser but all my extensions are dead. They show the little puzzle piece (like in this question) and when I try to access the options or use them I get ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND. I have tried uninstalling them all countless times, via right-click and via the trashcan icon in the chrome://extensions/ interface. When I open Chrome again they are back. I am using Windows 10 (well, the version is irrelevant I believe) and I would like to execute my programs through 'Run' just for convenience. My problem is, where do I look for each software's Run keyword ? For example, to open paint, you can run 'mspaint', to open Notepad++ I luckily figured out you can run notepad++ but what about other processes ? For example, I have no clue how to open Sublime text 3 with Run or paint.net and many other software. If you are willing to help, please also provide a way to FIND the run keyword for any software. I have ASUS zenbook UX32VD (i5 version) and it only has 4GB of RAM preinstalled and while I originally thought that it has two RAM expansion slots it tued out it doesn't! So as I am on LINUX I used an lshw application to check this out and this is what it tued out: Program shows me that it still has an extra slot while I can't physically see it. Weird. Also 4GB of RAM are divided among two containers and I suspect that 2GB of RAM is solderd on the motherboard while 2GB resides in my expansion slot. The other expansion slot is somehow nonexistent... I need a small script to download some programs. The URL's never change but the files do. Like when you download malwarebytes. Example: "https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mbam_current/" The address doesnt change but the file name downloaded does. Every script i see, requires that you specify a file name. I dont want to do that, I want the script to pull the filename from the sites header which would include the version name of that file in that filename. I cant seem to find any way of doing this. I hope this is the right place to ask this. My University lets students download a preconfigured executable of OpenVPN, where the settings are already branded in. Once you installed it, you just enter your credentials and you are coected. However, I noticed that it doesn't work anymore after the system is has been installed on is rebooted. If I install it, I get a successful coection with the VPN and can use it. If I restart my Laptop, it does not work anymore, but the Icons in the Tray still show a green screen. If I then uninstall it and reinstall it, without rebooting, it works again. The only difference in the log window when it's coecting, I notice when it does not work, one of the line...
