I have Fedora 24 installed using Hyper-V on top of Windows 10 (aiversary update) Trying to get the Hyper-V vGPU working, but Fedora does not recognizing it, and it doesn't even recognizing the video device if i don't have the vGPU enabled. Anyway to get some video acceleration or even just fullscreen working on this setup or should i look at different Hyper-visors? Side Question: Would i be better off testing this with Server 2016 - Which has pass through? I have been searching around and comparing specifications to build a budget gaming PC. On the Intel site, i have been comparing CPUs and I noticed that the I3 CPUs, while only having 2 physical cores as usual, have 4 threads, meaning that they are hyper threaded. But with the I5 CPUs on the other hand, they have 4 physical cores and 4 threads, meaning that they are not hyper threaded, which is kinda weird for intel to hyper thread the I3s and I7s but not the I5s. As common knowledge, virtual cores (made by hyper threading) are of course, less powerful than physical cores. but the I3 CPUs also have significantly more clock speed, with the I3 CPUS varying between 3.3 and 3.9 GHz, and the I5 CP...

The recent Windows 10 Aiversary update contains an update for Hyper-V related to basic coections: If you coect to a virtual machine using enhanced mode – it gets all the DPI information from the host, and does the right thing. However, if you are using basic mode – the guest OS is unaware of the host DPI. My CPU has 18 cores, and, due to hyperthreading, 36 logical processors. However, VMware player's highest option in settings is a 16 processor virtual machine. Is there a reason for this? I have tried Googling, but have been able to find no answer. This is frustrating, as I would like to bring all my computational resources to bear. After the last aiversary update of windows 10 (of august 2) hyper-v fail to start any of the virtual machine, new or old. The message I get is "Virtual Machine Name" failed to start worker process: An invalid HANDLE was specifies (0xC0000008). I have try many thinks, and look all over the inteet bug I can not find solution. I have totally remove and re-install the hyper-v I have check for correct permissions on the directories of the vm I have run Process Monitor to see why is crash I have read the debug report that send to MS I have made from scratch new test virtual machines, for both generations. after all that is still not runs... We got a hyper-v image (winserver) and want to import the out server1 (hyper-v ruing on it). server1 as our domain machine. Can we join the VM to domain after import it? Any problem like file missing or setting lost in the VM after join doamin? Because after join domain, VM is use account from AD. It is a new account. I've a little problem with my new virtualization setup. On my host machine (Windows 10 Pro) I just installed the current Version of Microsofts Hyper-V (via "Add Windows features"). My host Computer have two network cards.
