I wanted to install secondary hard drive, I putted the hard drive in its place and I coect the power cables and the sata cable. I powered up the computer and I chose the master hard drive in the boot menu (the secondary drive appeared either) the OS (windows 10 pro) was started but the OS didn't show the secondary hard drive. Currently my colleque is deploying some updates and Installations on 120 machines with PDQ Deploy. So far, everything works fine with silent install. However, one comes with some driver which requires confirmation from Windows Security. I tried to bypass this by disabling UAC, but still, this click is required. When iPhone is plugged in computer ruing Windows 10 it starts installing drivers. Windows doesn't show UAC screen, or user permission to install drivers. Sure, it is convenient, but what is the security model here? Does it mean that any usb stick can silently gain permission for arbitrary code execution? I have my apache local server already ruing php 7 with a virtualhost named "groovebox", I tried installing python with different methods (mod_wsgi, fastCGI), none of them worked, and in between I messed up server 2-3 times, which I had to install again. I don't want to install xampp or something. I want a clean install of python (no Django or something) to run along with php without any issues with mod_wsgi. How do I do that? I've installed a trial copy of MS Project 2010 on Windows 10 the other day, completed a task then uninstalled it, using the System settings dialog for programs and features. Now a few days later, Windows Update wants to install updates for Office 2010, such as Service Pack 2. I however have no Microsoft Office products installed in this machine, not currently and not before. How can I keep Windows Update from trying to update an install that's supposed to be not there? I installed Freemake Video Downloader and saw this also listed in Programs & Features. They was no way to opt out this software. This was not mentioned at the time of installation. ( I uploaded 3 files in WinPcap folder in C drive to Virustotal but there was no detection , also scaed with MBAM & Hitman Pro ) I know WinPcap can sniff packets , can detect websites we visit . I am currently in the process of re-configuring my laptop, in order to allow me to use full-disk LUKS encryption (including the /boot partition) (See this article). The problem that I have run into is that in order to complete this process, I must encrypt the disk from a Kali live-system, and then install the operating system onto it WITHOUT REBOOTING. I have Sony Vaio svf15318snw pre installed with Windows 8. I have the recovery discs but they are useless due to the amount of scratches. I want to completely wipe the HDD and install a new copy of Windows 8. The problem is, the computer has a lot of OEM and reserved partitions. It also has a Assist button that starts BIOS, Recovery process and other things. Can i delete all the volumes, OEM partitions, reserved partitions and install a new copy of Windows 8? I am ruing a Windows 8.1 (64 bit) system that I would like to convert into a VM to use with VirtualBox. I have used the sysinteals disk2vhd converter to create a VHD of my system, but the resulting VHD file does not work with VirtualBox. Booting the VHD in VirtualBox (by creating a new VM and pointing VirtualBox to the VHD file) results in a "FATAL: No bootable medium found." error.
