I'm starting working with ROS2 (currently in alpha7 state). For this I build up a small network with an Raspberry Pi (Raspbian Jessie) coected to an router via LAN and an host PC (Ubuntu Gnome 16.04) coected to the same router via WLAN. Inside the host are some virtual machines (using VirtualBox) installed with Debian Jessie and coected via a bridged network (wlp4s0). I can also use ping, ssh and scp between all my machines (Rasp, Host, VMs). I found that the Rasp doesn't coect to the VM's but the VM's are in contact to each other. So I can send messages between the VM's. But a talker-listener-coection between the Rasp and the VM's doesn't work. Can anyone give me some suggestions to find ou...

I've a question about SSH reverse tuel. I've an ubuntu server with sshd installed. I open ssh reverse tuel from a remote machines, on that machine the coection is restarted every time the tuel is interrupted. Whenever a tuel is opened, on the SSH server i can see two coection using netstat. One listening to the interal server port. Then other on an exteal port. The latter one is the SSH tuel. I've got problem with mapping network drive when I'm coected to VPN(use OpenVPN). I get this error: System error 1231 has occurred. The network location caot be reached. I have a wireless printer that coects to my wifi router. There is a function in the printer that allow me to lock the printer temporarily so no one can print/scan... and unlock it. The problem is the wifi network is being shared with other people and I don't want them to access printer and print out everything. My question is how can I prevent others from accessing printer. I used the snipping tool to copy a table from a PDF and pasted it into paint.net. On zooming in the border is a solid black line and the numbers/text are multicolored blue/brown/yellow so it looks black (but fuzzy) when you zoom out and you see the colors when zoomed all the way in. Does this have to do with layers from the PDF, or the way text is handled, it is baffling to me that the line and text from the same snip have such a contrast in clarity. (I checked and the original PDF is solid black) Is snipping tool converting the colors or is it paint.net, or something else? What would be the next step in figuring out what's causing it?(The hoped for solution would provide less "fuzzy" number...

Hi I am trying to stream a video file (located in local machine's hard disk.) to home network/LAN. I am trying to do this from a week now. Is there a fast and reliable way to use a device's MAC address to determine if it is currently coected to a network from a Windows PC/Server? My PC is coected to a WIFI access point to access inteet. That is working fine. Now, I have coected an embedded system (say a router) to my PC using an etheet cable. Now I am able to ping exteal addresses like google.com etc. as well as my embedded system's ip (192.168.1.1) from a command prompt. So, basically my PC is using both the interfaces successfully. hopefully I've phrased the correctly appropriately! Using windows 7 Pro SP1 On my laptop, I have to use both a wired and wireless coection - some traffic (eg accessing specific systems) I can only access through the wired coection - and others only through the wireless coection. Both are company on-site coections - they're just not very joined up. At the moment, I have to switch between them through the day - if I leave both on, it's hit or miss which coection windows will try and use (but usually the wired), so I unplug/disable the one I don't want and then change back when I need it. Is there a better way of directing specific applications / protocols through to a specific coection? Or, if...
