Shared hard drive not recognized over network

as I said in the title my problem it's with a shared hard drive over my home network. My aim is to share this hdd in a way that everyone in my family can put important files over this "backup drive". I have windows 10 and I have already actived the right option to enable it. My network is: me connected to the router over etheet, then wireless network (family pcs). I think the problem is my computer not recognized over the network or maybe my router that is a little bit old. If someone can help me would be grea, thank you!
