I have a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD7 with 2 Sapphire Tri-X R9 390 cards and an MSI R9 390X. The MSI and one Sapphire are plugged into PCIEx1-PCIEx16 risers because I'm using them for mining ethereum. On the Device Manager and when I run wmic path win32_VideoController get name windows only shows two R9 390s and the built in Intel HD 4600 graphics. Yet when I run the claymore mining program, I start mining on the 390 and the 390x but not the second 390! (as verified by both the logs which recognize the 390x and the heat coming from the cards.) The native Sapphire overclocking tool recognizes both 390s and not the 390x... So the only program that 'sees' the 390x is the miner, but that one doesn't see...

I am currently using Ubuntu Mate 16.04. When the system starts up the NetworkManager applet does not display any wireless networks. The only "solution" I currently know is to issue sudo iwlist scan on the command line. Afterwards NetworkManager sees the networks and I can register to my WLAN. This is quite aoying to do every time I boot the system. Is there any permanent solution for this bug? PS: I have also confirmed with rfkill that the device is not software blocked. Ruing Windows 10 pro in Bootcamp it does not detect a 5GHz WiFi network, only 2.4GHz networks are found. When I boot to OSX it detects both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Others in my office can coect to 5GHz wifi via Windows 10, although they have an Intel wireless adapter, mine is Broadcom. We have one 2.4GHz and one 5GHz wireless network in our office, but my Windows 10 only shows the 2.4GHz network in the list of available coections. There is a wall between my room and the wireless routers but even if I take my laptop to the router room it still does not pick up the 5GHz network. More than likely, your new laptop is using a SATA controller that is newer than what was shipped when Windows 7 was released. If Windows doesnt have the driver for the SATA controller, it caot see any disks that are coected to it. You should be able to go to your laptop manufacturer's website and download the SATA controller drivers needed. You will need to copy these drivers to a CD or USB stick. Make sure to unzip/pack them before copying them to the disk. During the Windows 7 installation, I believe at the point you are getting stuck at (I havent installed 7 in a long time, so my memory is failing me) there is an option to load additional drivers. I have a HP v229g 32 GB flash drive. A few months ago I gave it to a friend to install a software on his computer and after he retued it to me,it stopped showing up in anywhere. The only place it is still being detected is Windows' Devices and Printers where it shows up as an "Unspecified" device. It does not show up in Disk Management though. I removed my old hard disk and put in a SSD in my laptop (Acer E-5 771). However on booting the EFI informed me that there was no bootable drive. Booting into Ubuntu on a USB, I couldn't see the SSD listed at all in the Disks app. This suggests that the disk can't be found at all, not just that it isn't bootable. I had disabled secure boot. Graphics card (MSI 550 ti) has 3 outputs, 2 DVI and 1 mini-HDMI. It used to be coected to an HDMI display using the included mini-HDMI to HDMI adapter, and a standard HDMI cable. The cable itself is not the problem, since it works when coected to HDMI output of onboard IGP. On booting into Win 7 using the IGP, I can run gpu-z and get statistics of the GeForce 550 ti shown as well - so the card is being detected after bootup. I don't currently have a DVI-to-HDMI adapter or cable to test, so I want to know if there are other possible fixes to get the display working again using mini-HDMI port. Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I have a SeaGate Hard Disk (with 4TB capacity) which has the code number ST4000VX000-1F4168 (Surveillance HDD). I am trying to install Windows 7 in it and Windows 7 only detects 2TB capacity and not 4TB. So, I followed the details explained in this link, I coected the 4TB Hard Disk to another computer as a secondary HDD.Then followed the details from the link above to make it GPT. Then the computer detected the 4TB. So I created 4 partitions (1TB each). My Notebook had problem with boot priority. So I have HDD on main port and I just added SSD for my second port (replace my CD/DVD drive). Today I downloaded standalone installer for Windows 10 SDK which downloaded all the required files of about 700 MB. Then I installed it with a setup file placed within downloaded content. But still Visual Studio is showing: Restarted PC also. Windows Software Dev Kit is listed under Programs and Features means it's installed properly. I have a laptop with Win8.1, and I decided I should upgrade it to Win10. While it was updating, I plugged my phone coector for it to charge. Then I realized that all of my USB ports are not working after the Win10 upgrade. I decided to look up for certain fixes, yet I caot find one. Upon restarting it, I encountered this error: 'The system has detected that a cooling fan is not working correctly'. I am using ASUS n550jx laptop that has a built in Realtek sound card. I have had a lot of problems before with Realtek and here's another one. All of the audio devices that coects with the audio jack input is not recognized in sound option in control panel, but they are detected by Realtek. The devices are working, but in the sound option in control panel,what is shown to be working is the Realtek Built in Speaker. This, however, disables my option to configure the device, and has led to some other problems.
