I'm starting working with ROS2 (currently in alpha7 state). For this I build up a small network with an Raspberry Pi (Raspbian Jessie) coected to an router via LAN and an host PC (Ubuntu Gnome 16.04) coected to the same router via WLAN. Inside the host are some virtual machines (using VirtualBox) installed with Debian Jessie and coected via a bridged network (wlp4s0). I can also use ping, ssh and scp between all my machines (Rasp, Host, VMs). I found that the Rasp doesn't coect to the VM's but the VM's are in contact to each other. So I can send messages between the VM's. But a talker-listener-coection between the Rasp and the VM's doesn't work. Can anyone give me some suggestions to find ou...

I am combining multiple data sources that list employee names differently ("Last, First", "Fist Last", "Last First", etc.) into one workbook and thus one table. I want to avoid spending a lot of time manipulating the imported data. I want to use a formula that will tell me if someone's name is in the row (A) regardless of how the name is displayed. Below is a formula that I was using, however it does not guarantee that the first and last name are matched in the same cell/row. I just got a new laptop which is just 2 months old ruing Windows 10. Today when I checked the battery life the battery has wo down 9% which is like 4.5% per month, in this rate my battery would only last close to two years or less. What's the average wear rate of the laptop battery? I use the laptop plugged in most of the time how ever let it drain (not completely) and charge it back once in a week. So a 9% drop is like 50 charging cycles which it definitely didn't had. So this much of wearing is normal or too much? average wear rate of the laptop battery? I've got problem with mapping network drive when I'm coected to VPN(use OpenVPN). I get this error: System error 1231 has occurred. The network location caot be reached. Sometimes my mouse accidentally moves too low, and gets over the taskbar while I am trying to scroll, which results in the active window being replaced by the next one, i.e. the next window pops up and covers my focal one. Note, that I'm not talking about scrolling among icons in a crowded taskbar that only show a fraction of windows (as can be seen in this image), neither about this issue, but about the fact that when I move my mouse wheel while being over the taskbar the next window will pop up without me clicking on its taskbar icon. I am writing to seek advice whether we can map a network drive without previously establishing a network among computers ruing Windows XP and 7. The network here refers to the local area network (LAN) or wireless local area network (WLAN) linked through a router. I have a wireless printer that coects to my wifi router. There is a function in the printer that allow me to lock the printer temporarily so no one can print/scan... and unlock it. The problem is the wifi network is being shared with other people and I don't want them to access printer and print out everything. My question is how can I prevent others from accessing printer. as I said in the title my problem it's with a shared hard drive over my home network. My aim is to share this hdd in a way that everyone in my family can put important files over this "backup drive". Hi I am trying to stream a video file (located in local machine's hard disk.) to home network/LAN. I am trying to do this from a week now. Is there a fast and reliable way to use a device's MAC address to determine if it is currently coected to a network from a Windows PC/Server? If not, then from an Ubuntu server? arp -a doesn't work on its own as the items stay in the cache too long. arp -a combined with clearing the cache every 5 minutes might work, but seems inefficient, and only works if the cache entirely repopulates within 5 minutes. After upgrading to windows 10 I have this aoying problem. When I use two finger scrolling, the icon that appears during the scrolling gets stuck on screen. My PC is coected to a WIFI access point to access inteet. That is working fine. Now, I have coected an embedded system (say a router) to my PC using an etheet cable. Now I am able to ping exteal addresses like google.com etc. as well as my embedded system's ip (192.168.1.1) from a command prompt. So, basically my PC is using both the interfaces successfully. I am able to browse any exteal website as well as the embedded system's admin login page from IE. But Chrome is only able to browse exteal websites, it is not able to access the embedded system's login page. Using windows 7 Pro SP1 On my laptop, I have to use both a wired and wireless coection - some traffic (eg accessing specific systems) I can only access through the wired coection - and others only through the wireless coection. Both are company on-site coections - they're just not very joined up. At the moment, I have to switch between them through the day - if I leave both on, it's hit or miss which coection windows will try and use (but usually the wired), so I unplug/disable the one I don't want and then change back when I need it. Is there a better way of directing specific applications / protocols through to a specific coection? Or, if...

So, there's way too many devices on my wireless network, which I normally use to play games on. Usually, there's about 3 or 4 devices coected on wifi, not counting my computer, which is on wired coection. Right now, there's a few relatives living with us, and the smartphone count has gone up to 10-12. I have a network bandwidth fluctuating between 12-17 mbps throughout the day. I'd like to limit how much of that devices other than my computer have access to. QoS is not an option. I have full access to my router.
