I run a ubuntu nas with raid6, mdstat does not indicate that anything is wrong, but when i try to read files on the raid volume, i am only able to read about 1/4 of the file, and the file transfer fails/freezes. Hard Drive checking in Windows reports a lot of unnecessary info, requiring that you read through it the chkdsk report, etc. Also chkdsk can't fix problems on an in-use files (like the Windows drive). Hi on a dell latitude laptop with Windows 10, for a specific user account keyboard doesn't work after the login screen. But it starts working back only when we launch on-screen keyboard application. And it also continues to work even after we close the on-screen keyboard. So far we've tried to uninsall keyboard driver but this didn't solve our problem. And nothing suspicious on system start. Info: I'm using acer aspire 5733 (windows 8). I recently bought a new battery online that has a capacity of 112 Wh (which is double the original 48 Wh AS10D31 battery that the laptop came with). My system drive has suddenly lost it's file structure and I'm trying to find a way to get it back to life without reinstalling OS. Is it real to make this beast work again without enormous amounts of time or should I just recover all the crucial stuff and reinstall everything? I search in my IMAP folder Archive/2016 for the term "foo". There are several messages containing this word, but the search (ctrl-shift-f) tells me that there are not messages with this word in the body. I use "search on server". This looks like the IMAP server does retu the wrong results. How can I debug this?
