today i tried to install openSUSE Leap 42.1 on a SD-card. I used a USB stick as installation medium. So far everything has gone well. The installation finished without any problems. I have a Transcend USB 3.0 SD and MicroSD card reader. When I plug it in, it won't show up in the windows 7 file explorer, but it shows up properly in DiskPart and device manager in windows 7 which says it is operating properly. I Caot access any files on any SD card placed in the adapter. I have another old SD adapter that works fine, but I want to replace it with the non-functioning adapter. I cloned my existing 500 GB HDD to a new SanDisk 1 TB SSD (via CloneZilla). I have the SanDisk Ultra Extreme Micro SD 64GB SDHC/SDXC Card CLASS 10 UHS-I (Not anymore at sandisk card section) and i use it in my Galaxy S4 i9500 phone to save pictures on it. I have windows 8.1 x64. Now, i insert the micro sd into Sandisk ImageMate All-in-one and coect it to my computer. I start transfering files from it and suddenly the device discoected! Even when i try to just see the properties it gets discoected. I must say it was allways working for me without any problems. Can you guys tell me why it is happening or how to fix that? Version 11.0.11 of Adobe Reader gives me the following error message when I try to Save or Save As : Except I have plenty of room in my temp folder and on the disk in question. I have a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD7 with 2 Sapphire Tri-X R9 390 cards and an MSI R9 390X. The MSI and one Sapphire are plugged into PCIEx1-PCIEx16 risers because I'm using them for mining ethereum. On the Device Manager and when I run wmic path win32_VideoController get name windows only shows two R9 390s and the built in Intel HD 4600 graphics. Yet when I run the claymore mining program, I start mining on the 390 and the 390x but not the second 390! (as verified by both the logs which recognize the 390x and the heat coming from the cards.) The native Sapphire overclocking tool recognizes both 390s and not the 390x... So the only program that 'sees' the 390x is the miner, but that one doesn't see...

I've been looking around online for an answer about the compatibility between Cardboard and PCB for the purpose of a Dust Cover. Found nothing, so I came here. The reason I'm thinking about this is because of two factors: one, that my Graphics Card's PCB is exposed and there is no backplate as some do these days, and two, my house is overly obscenely dusty. I end up dusting my computer every week or so as I fear the graphics card, above all else, would short circuit somewhere on the exposed microchips and solder leads from the backplate. A couple of weeks back a had a new ssd installed in my Macbook pro, everything was great and no problems up until the other day, where I shut down the computer and then the next time I tued it on it would load completely but then shut down by itself right after. I am able to see the ssd in the disk utility when opening in recovery mode, but I can't do anything about the drive. Everytime I try to make 1 new partition it just gives me error messages. To explain it from the start I was ruing the latest version of OS X, then when I tried to format the drive I got the error "format of archive system failed". I am trying to dual boot windows and linux by putting my second ssd in this optical drive caddy. However, the caddy is not recognized by the BIOS. As far as I can tell from this site, I am ruing the latest version for my model (v1.21). When I tu on the computer, the blue light on the caddy lights up so I am assuming there is at least getting stata power if not data. Did I get a bricked caddy? I have a SD card that contain my custom Linux that could be booted from the USBCardReader right and without any issue BUT I want to boot my SD card from the laptop inteal SD card reader and when I inserted it my BIOS did not detected it as bootable device. I'm trying to coect the MSR90 mag stripe reader (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D3D3L8Y/) to Stripe.com. The MSR90 reader works like a keyboard. I have a new computer I built, and it doesn't recognize my phone or my ereader. It charges them, but that's it. On my old machine they'd show up as drives and I could transfer files, etc. with either device (a Nexus 6P and a Kobo Glo reader), but on this machine, the charging is all they will do when coected via USB.
