I have Fedora 24 installed using Hyper-V on top of Windows 10 (aiversary update) Trying to get the Hyper-V vGPU working, but Fedora does not recognizing it, and it doesn't even recognizing the video device if i don't have the vGPU enabled. Anyway to get some video acceleration or even just fullscreen working on this setup or should i look at different Hyper-visors? Side Question: Would i be better off testing this with Server 2016 - Which has pass through? I have an exteal hard disk, and for some reason, it is reporting wrong free space. In Windows Explorer, it is showing the used space is 378 GB. I tried ruing chkdsk H: /f /r, it seems to report the same usage as Windows Explorer, and it says that there is no problem. But when I tried selecting all the files inside this drive, it is showing much lesser usage. I've already set the setting to show all hidden files and folders, also show the protected OS files, but it still caot find about those missing files. And the difference is huge (282 GB). Fairly frequently, google drive on OSX will pop up with a message that tells me some files were unsyncable, with the offer to retry. I'm worried that these files will just go missing, or only be stored locally. Does google drive fix the syncing of these files later or if I do nothing will they just not ever be synced? How can I share the same OneDrive for Business folder (same login) across multiple user accounts on a Windows machine? TL;DR One of my clients has a business where several Windows users need access to a shared set of files, which are currently shared on a file server on the network. Currently the Windows machines are coected to a domain run on SBS. But they want to get rid of the local server and move to the cloud, leaving the domain behind for good. I'm an L2 helpdesk guy and I have a user whose Lenovo L440 will not coect to wifi. The wifi icon in the notification area shows a red X and the "tu wireless on" button is greyed out in the Mobility Center. When she presses F8, it shows that wifi is on. The adapter is enabled and "allow to tu off to save power" is unchecked. We've reinstalled Pro/Set Wireless, and tried to install the adapter driver from the Device Manager. When I uninstalled the device there, checking the "remove driver" checkbox, it did not find the driver in Windows Update and I had to install Pro/Set Wireless from the Intel website. This is a difficult issue to Google. I recently set up a Storage Space (3x 4TB) in Windows 10 and it worked as expected. No parity (Simple) as it’s only for backups. I then added another independent drive (1x 4TB) to the PC and in the process of trying to get Windows to recognise it I probably booted up with only 2/3 of my pool drives coected. Even with all three now coected; I now have no visible pool shown in Storage Spaces. This is fine - I'm happy to start again as it's only for backups - but the issue is Windows won't recognise any of the three drives (the new, non-pool drive is recognised) so I can’t format them and start again. I have been trying to install the Nvidia drivers on the latest version of Debian, but all I have been getting is a black screen. When I hit ctrl alt f2, I can get to a terminal, but I am not sure where to go from here. When I try to reinstall the drivers, the terminal basically says that these 3 packages encountered errors while processing: libgl1-nvidia-glx:amd64 Nvidia-driver Xserver-xorg-vidia-nvidia So clearly this is my issue, I just do not know how to fix it. My graphics card is a gtx 970 and I DID NOT use the driver installers from the nvidia website, I got them from the non-free Debian repositories. Any help would be appreciated! I have 1 NAS, with 2TB of Storage, 4 Exteal USB HDD Drives from 250Gb to 1TB, a lot of USB Flash Drives. They all have some duplication of files as I have copy them from one to another to safe keep. Now with a lot of these it is getting out of hand. I want to upload them all to the Cloud. Especially after I seen some of my picture and video getting bit rot. Is there any simply solution i can compared all of these files for duplication, remove them, and categories them before I upload them to Cloud WITHOUT saving them into one places. I've got an old laptop (Thinkpad T60, 32 bit, 7 years old) ruing Linux Mint, on which I'd like to install Windows as well. However, I can't get it to boot from the flash drive containing the Windows installation image: After writing the Windows installation image to the flash drive (dd if=win.iso of=/dev/sdc bs=1M), it is being displayed as a UDF device. GParted is not able to read any information ("Waing: unrecognised disk label"), but contents can be accessed after mounting. When restarting the computer with the flash drive coected, it is not being recognized as bootable device at all. I've got problem with mapping network drive when I'm coected to VPN(use OpenVPN). I get this error: System error 1231 has occurred. The network location caot be reached. Hard Drive checking in Windows reports a lot of uecessary info, requiring that you read through it the chkdsk report, etc. Also chkdsk can't fix problems on an in-use files (like the Windows drive). It seems like a little thing, but a non-technical user can't understand ChkDsk results and it takes even a technical user a minute to read through the report for each hard drive. Is there a tool or built in service which will: Automatically check all drives for errors Report a simple "no problem" or "problem" Ideally, schedule a repair operation on the next restart. As you all are facing, I am facing the beta graphics driver-secure boot problem after windows 10 aiversary update, seems like microsoft hates non-WHQL drivers and I can't properly install beta drivers in windows 10 anymore. So I need to disable secure boot. But I can not disable secure boot from BIOS, the option is grayed out in BIOS. I even tried Windows->Settings Menu-> Update->Advance Startup->Troubleshoot->Restart-> UEFI FIRMWARE SETTINGS. The option is still grayed out. So I wonder how I can disable secure boot. I am writing to seek advice whether we can map a network drive without previously establishing a network among computers ruing Windows XP and 7. The network here refers to the local area network (LAN) or wireless local area network (WLAN) linked through a router.
