I installed Gnucash on my Mac OS X El Capitan, but I'm having problems with titles and headings on the interface and reports. By following the advice on here https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/FAQ#Q:_How_get_I_rid_of_strange_unreadable_characters_or_adjust_the_font_size I've managed to get rid of the problem on the interface and the headings on reports, but the problem still affects the titles of reports (see image below). Instead of getting the title Income Statement for ..., etc, I get a long list of numbers. Income Statement Report Regarding advice below (from the Gnucash wiki page) MacOs: Create a plain text file in your home folder (~ is unix shorthand for your home folder): X Window version...

I've got an old laptop (Thinkpad T60, 32 bit, 7 years old) ruing Linux Mint, on which I'd like to install Windows as well. However, I can't get it to boot from the flash drive containing the Windows installation image: After writing the Windows installation image to the flash drive (dd if=win.iso of=/dev/sdc bs=1M), it is being displayed as a UDF device. GParted is not able to read any information ("Waing: unrecognised disk label"), but contents can be accessed after mounting. When restarting the computer with the flash drive coected, it is not being recognized as bootable device at all. When writing another image to the same flash drive using the same method, booting from it works fine. Aft...

I have two HP Z27s 4k monitors coected via DisplayPort to my hp PC ruing Windows 7. Due to issues related to font scaling, I've been ruing both for at least a month at 2560x1440 without significant problems. [I was getting some random banding that powering the monitor off and on fixed.] Today, one of the monitors started flickering ~2"-tall horizontal bands of noise at random places on the screen. In an effort to fix that, I set the Refresh rate to 30 Hz (it was 59 Hz on both monitors). When I did that, the display on that monitor shrunk down to not being scaled at all. That is, there appears to be a 2560x1440 display centered on a 3840x2160 monitor, with significant (4" R & L, 2" T &...

In Sql-Server Management Studio I change the following (IMPORTANT) setting in Tools > Options... I change to 2 and 2. I've restarted my machine several times but whenever I open a new instance of SSMS it has been reset to 4 and 4!! Can anyone help make this setting stick? I am using the 2016 edition of Sql-Server; with VS 2015 (with SSDT) also installed on this machine. I'm guessing there is some setting in another part of the Visual Studio shell that is overriding my Management Studio setting? Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Started to happen recently after one of the updates. IE10 would work fine and then freeze opening another link/tab. I can see that under ruing processes there is iexplore 32 bit and regular ruing (machine is 64 bit VM) If I kill processes - it will work fine until next time I open tab. Main question is what is that and how to fix it? (Another person in office have exact same issue, so it's not just me) Secondary question is: How do I upgrade to 8.1? It's VM, it's Enterprise. 8.1 update is not available in Store anymore. And I can't upgrade IE10 because it requires 8.1 Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I'm still trying to get a remote access to the MS SQL Server on one of my Windows machine. I allowed the access on my Windows firewall as can be seen here and here. I also opened the port on CoMoDo FW as can be seen here. But trying to access the machine from the Linux with busybox telnet 192.168.1.4 1433 does not produce "Coected". The server itself does configured to accept the remote coections. What other settings I'm missing? Thank you. Let's block ads! بخوانید...

When my roommate tries to coect to the wifi from his room, the router cut off. I think the problem is only when a device is in his room. We are having no issues while using the inteet in the hall or in my room. He used to coect to wifi from his room before. What could be the reason for this? The router is Smart RG SR360n by our inteet service provider Acanac. The coection is DSL. I would like to get some suggestions? Thanks for reading Let's block ads! بخوانید...

It all started when I changed the "Inteet Time Settings" server to something else because it didn't get the correct time. After I have found a correct server the time was correct (also is now), and now almost every site I get into that has https is displaying error about the certificate: Your coection is not secure I am using Firefox and it happens in Explorer and Chrome too.. My computer is new (bought it 2 month ago) and I just installed windows 10 (clean install). What could be the problem? I don't have the tools to test the CMOS (saw an answer about that) and I don't think that it is it because the computer is new.. I tried manually change the time back to 2015 and back to 2016 but not...
