I have Fedora 24 installed using Hyper-V on top of Windows 10 (aiversary update) Trying to get the Hyper-V vGPU working, but Fedora does not recognizing it, and it doesn't even recognizing the video device if i don't have the vGPU enabled. Anyway to get some video acceleration or even just fullscreen working on this setup or should i look at different Hyper-visors? Side Question: Would i be better off testing this with Server 2016 - Which has pass through? I have been trying to install the Nvidia drivers on the latest version of Debian, but all I have been getting is a black screen. When I hit ctrl alt f2, I can get to a terminal, but I am not sure where to go from here. When I try to reinstall the drivers, the terminal basically says that these 3 packages encountered errors while processing: libgl1-nvidia-glx:amd64 Nvidia-driver Xserver-xorg-vidia-nvidia So clearly this is my issue, I just do not know how to fix it. My graphics card is a gtx 970 and I DID NOT use the driver installers from the nvidia website, I got them from the non-free Debian repositories. Any help would be appreciated! My mum cut etheet cable (cat 5 or 5e) that coects my switch with main router. We plan on crimping the cut sides and coupling them. windows 10 x64 pro, Asus z170p, BIOS version old. AMD graphics card. As you all are facing, I am facing the beta graphics driver-secure boot problem after windows 10 aiversary update, seems like microsoft hates non-WHQL drivers and I can't properly install beta drivers in windows 10 anymore. So I need to disable secure boot. But I can not disable secure boot from BIOS, the option is grayed out in BIOS. I even tried Windows->Settings Menu-> Update->Advance Startup->Troubleshoot->Restart-> UEFI FIRMWARE SETTINGS. The option is still grayed out. So I wonder how I can disable secure boot. I have a Dell Latitude E6540, Windows 7 Pro SP1; installed programs list includes "Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth(R) Technology". If I right-click on that in Control Panel / Programs and Features, I get options for "Change" and "Repair". If I choose "Repair", it operates for a couple of minutes, then tells me that "Bluetooth Device Monitor failed to start"; it suggests I ensure that I have sufficient privilege to start system services (which I do; I run out of an admin account all the time on this machine). My PC is coected to a WIFI access point to access inteet. That is working fine. Now, I have coected an embedded system (say a router) to my PC using an etheet cable. Now I am able to ping exteal addresses like google.com etc. as well as my embedded system's ip (192.168.1.1) from a command prompt. So, basically my PC is using both the interfaces successfully. I am able to browse any exteal website as well as the embedded system's admin login page from IE. But Chrome is only able to browse exteal websites, it is not able to access the embedded system's login page. I think - Chrome is trying to use the WIFI network interface for accessing the page and hence fails. How can I force chrome to use ...

kinda unexperienced i was trying to setup the nvidia drivers according to a guide. http://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2015/fedora-nvidia-guide/ after the reboot the machine crashed gdm. I have been googling my problems for four hours and at this point i only get a black screen after grub. that happend after i tried reverting to nouveau just to get the machine into a working state. I can SSH into the machine and it works there. But the screen is totally black, but does not go into sleep so maybe there is some signal coming across. Currently my colleque is deploying some updates and Installations on 120 machines with PDQ Deploy. So far, everything works fine with silent install. However, one comes with some driver which requires confirmation from Windows Security. I tried to bypass this by disabling UAC, but still, this click is required. When iPhone is plugged in computer ruing Windows 10 it starts installing drivers. Windows doesn't show UAC screen, or user permission to install drivers. Sure, it is convenient, but what is the security model here? Does it mean that any usb stick can silently gain permission for arbitrary code execution? I've recently purchased a new tower, and I've started setting it up today. I installed Windows 7 and booted it up, but I can't download/update drivers automatically because I don't have inteet and I don't have inteet because I can't get the drivers... I'm looking into getting a Samsung 950 Pro 512 GB SSD with read at 2500 MB/s and write at 1500 MB/s. My motherboard is an Asus Sabertooth x79 so it does not have an M.2 slot on it. I was wondering if I used a M.2 to PCI-E adapter if I would get the above read/write speeds or if there would be a bottleneck of some sort? I'm having trouble figuring out the cause of my issue. Basically, there's what looks like a blank space in my notification icons: Except, it's not blank: it's actually the volume slider. However, it appears to be "stuck" behind a blank space. Left-click does nothing, and right-click brings up the usual taskbar menu. Watch what happens when I drag the Wifi icon to right: Now the volume slider shows, but the Wifi icon is "missing". And if I drag the battery icon all the way to the right: I have no idea what's causing this. I just built myself a windows machine, and after I shut it down after the first coection to the inteet the screen no longer worked. I tued on narrator and I know the computer is still working, but I am unsure how to fix the screen. I made sure my graphics card was in securely and that the cable coecting the screen was attached and I even tried using a different screen. I have the Realtek HD Audio Manager installed (it came as part of the "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver") on my Windows 10 system, and this means that it replaces the default Windows volume control in the tray, as you can see here in this screenshot: However, I don't really like this Realtek HD Audio Manager. I can't single-click on it to immediately change the volume like I can with the default Windows control. However, I don't really want to uninstall the driver itself because I've read others complain that without it the quality is degraded. After installing Windows 10 onto my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop, I had to manually install a driver for the Radeon X300 video card. (The X300 does not have compatible drivers so I used a different model's driver as suggested by other users with this card). This worked flawlessly for exactly 2 days. Then I booted up to find the screen showing vertical lines and windows loads to a blank screen. Using safe mode I was able to set the driver back to Microsoft basic display driver. Windows displays fine (although wrong resolution) but various vertical lines are still present on all the bootup screens.
