Windows 10 notification icon missing/blank

I'm having trouble figuring out the cause of my issue. Basically, there's what looks like a blank space in my notification icons:

Except, it's not blank: it's actually the volume slider. However, it appears to be "stuck" behind a blank space. Left-click does nothing, and right-click brings up the usual taskbar menu.

Watch what happens when I drag the Wifi icon to right:

Now the volume slider shows, but the Wifi icon is "missing". And if I drag the battery icon all the way to the right:

I have no idea what's causing this. I've tried all the usual restarts, updates (you can see from the Ink Workspace icon it's the Win 10 anniversary edition, but the problem has been around from before).

Any ideas? I'm running a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 12.
