I hope this is the right place to ask this. My University lets students download a preconfigured executable of OpenVPN, where the settings are already branded in. Once you installed it, you just enter your credentials and you are coected. However, I noticed that it doesn't work anymore after the system is has been installed on is rebooted. If I install it, I get a successful coection with the VPN and can use it. If I restart my Laptop, it does not work anymore, but the Icons in the Tray still show a green screen. If I then uninstall it and reinstall it, without rebooting, it works again. The only difference in the log window when it's coecting, I notice when it does not work, one of the line...

I'm starting working with ROS2 (currently in alpha7 state). For this I build up a small network with an Raspberry Pi (Raspbian Jessie) coected to an router via LAN and an host PC (Ubuntu Gnome 16.04) coected to the same router via WLAN. Inside the host are some virtual machines (using VirtualBox) installed with Debian Jessie and coected via a bridged network (wlp4s0). I can also use ping, ssh and scp between all my machines (Rasp, Host, VMs). I found that the Rasp doesn't coect to the VM's but the VM's are in contact to each other. So I can send messages between the VM's. But a talker-listener-coection between the Rasp and the VM's doesn't work. Can anyone give me some suggestions to find ou...

I've got 2 Windows installations which are identical, the same settings, the same programs. The only difference is that the Windows architecture is different, the one is 32bit and the other one is 64bit. I am making several websites on a single workstation, so I want to test them in more or less isolated environment. Having some Linux background, I decided to make a chroot for each of these web apps. To be able to launch my app handlers from inside the chroot, I wanted to forward the visibility of /usr/local/bin to the chrooted container, but I fail to see a direct equivalent of mount --bind. I just installed ionic following this guide. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/31041366/how-to-install-ionic-framework-on-ubuntu and also installed ionic / cordova using the command from ionic framework but when I start the app using this command ionic start todo example this message keep on showing up giving errors. I have set up some virtual machines using VMware Workstation PRO 12 in my server (ruing on CentOS 7 3.10.0-327.28.2.el7.x86_64 keel) and it works fine as long as the firewall is disabled. I'm playing around with my fresh Windows 2012 R2 VM and am following this guide to convert it to a 'workstation'. I have network discovery on and all the other advanced sharing settings necessary on my server-tued-workstation. I have a Win 8 VM that is hosting a shared folder and my win 10 machine that's hosting a shared folder. The majority of the time, I'm able to access the shared resources. The problem I've run into is that if I restart my Win2012 VM, my mapped coections break. I run into "The useame or password is incorrect" error. I had a desktop computer before and this fighting stick of mine was working pretty well. Before I got it to work, it was not recognized by the operating system (Windows 10). Now, I bought a new laptop and the controller is perfectly recognized but does not work at all. I have tried advices from steam forum but these advices are only for those who could not get their controllers to be recognized. What I literally want to do is to make my controller recognized as a game controller. But it is recognized as an usb device. I've got problem with mapping network drive when I'm coected to VPN(use OpenVPN). I get this error: System error 1231 has occurred. The network location caot be reached. This is very bizarre. I have never had this issue until now. Basically I have a little code in .htaccess that removes the .php extension from the web pages. For some reason, it has stopped working for me. Localhost and live server give the same error if I go the webpage without .php extension. Weird thing is, I have the exact same .htaccess file being used for another site and it works perfectly fine on both localhost and same live server. I would like to know what might be causing this? Hi on a dell latitude laptop with Windows 10, for a specific user account keyboard doesn't work after the login screen. But it starts working back only when we launch on-screen keyboard application. And it also continues to work even after we close the on-screen keyboard. So far we've tried to uninsall keyboard driver but this didn't solve our problem. And nothing suspicious on system start. I have a wireless printer that coects to my wifi router. There is a function in the printer that allow me to lock the printer temporarily so no one can print/scan... and unlock it. The problem is the wifi network is being shared with other people and I don't want them to access printer and print out everything. My question is how can I prevent others from accessing printer. Hi I am trying to stream a video file (located in local machine's hard disk.) to home network/LAN. I am trying to do this from a week now. I tried all the resource I could find then then as a last resort asking this question here. 1. Video file is present in local machine's hard disk.2. need to stream through HTTP protocol.3. Is there a fast and reliable way to use a device's MAC address to determine if it is currently coected to a network from a Windows PC/Server? If not, then from an Ubuntu server? arp -a doesn't work on its own as the items stay in the cache too long. arp -a combined with clearing the cache every 5 minutes might work, but seems inefficient, and only works if the cache entirely repopulates within 5 minutes. My PC is coected to a WIFI access point to access inteet. That is working fine. Now, I have coected an embedded system (say a router) to my PC using an etheet cable. Now I am able to ping exteal addresses like google.com etc. as well as my embedded system's ip (192.168.1.1) from a command prompt. So, basically my PC is using both the interfaces successfully. I am able to browse any exteal website as well as the embedded system's admin login page from IE. But Chrome is only able to browse exteal websites, it is not able to access the embedded system's login page. I think - Chrome is trying to use the WIFI network interface for accessing the page and hence fails. How can I force chrome to use ...
