I'm struggling to understand a behavior I can't explain in a sample network. Basically I want to be able to switch some of my servers by redirecting to a different server (so that I can point my applications to some database server for example and then switch the database coections to another server without changing the applications). I'm probably going to use something like rinetd for that, but I'm curious why some iptables rules are not working as I would expect. The sample network had 3 servers: gw (192.168.0.1/24), s1 (192.168.0.2/24) and s2 (192.168.0.3/24). gw is the default gateway for s1 and s2. I have network with a range 10.0.0.0/24. This means I have 10.0.0.0 to 10.0.0.255, however I caot use 10.0.0.0 or 10.0.0.255, but I can use anything between that. Why is this? My issue is rather simple, I guess. I recently installed the trial version for a set of Adobe CC products and later uninstalled them after the trial expired. I soon realized that I had another Adobe account that had never been used for Adobe CC products. So, I reinstalled Adobe CC manager and logged in with that account. I then installed Dreamweaver CC, and came to find that the manager thinks I installed the trial with the new account (which I didn't). Yes, I'm using the same computer, but if it's a different account, what gives? (Adobe account; not Windows) I'm assuming it's due to something either in the registry or in some other file. I have a Zebra GK420T coected to a Windows 7 host with 2" x 2" label stock using the stock ZDesigner driver. Whenever I print a document to the printer, only the top 1.2" prints. No matter what settings I adjust, I caot get the bottom 0.8" to print. I am ruing Chrome 51 on Windows 8.1. According to both this documentation and this source file I should be able to launch chrome with command line parameters. Yet when I try to - with the exception of --incognito - I can't get any to work. I have a six core, 12 thread processor. two virtual threads per one core. I have the option to allocate one to 12 CPUs. There are waings about allocating more than six CPUs not doing anything. When I allocate six CPUs, the virtual box is able to use about half my computers processing power. When I allocate 12 CPUs, Virtual box will consume twice the power for half the work. it´s a HP Mini 110 (netbook). It has Trisquel 7 installed, Ubuntu 14.04 based and 100% free software, and the wifi card is not supported by it. So I bought another one, but when tuing it on a message that says "104-Unsupported wireless network detected. System halted. Remove device and restart" appeared. I'm trying to understand how the whole thing works and I don't understand why I can't search for a string in wireshark when I visit a non-encrypted website while capturing packets for that website IP. Can't find a single word that appear on the browser. Any idea how this works ? I'm trying to install Windows 7 professional SP1 64 bits on a NVMe SSD from a USB drive. I know Windows 7 does not have NVMe support so I need to install the drivers during the installation. The problem is that during the installation I caot see my usb drive were I copied the drivers. Here is what I did: I used the rufus tool to create a bootable usb in GPT partition UEFI mode FAT32 format. I added the drivers to the usb and to a second usb. I inserted the usb in the computer's usb 2.0 port and entered the BIOS. on the BIOS I enabled CSM support and selected UEFI mode for Storage and PCIe. It seems like you can boot from a USB device without a bootloader to me. Even my 6 years old computers that still have a BIOS. From what I read the BIOS simply looks for an mbr, loads it and executes it. But I have never knowingly written an mbr to any of my USB devices. So how is it that I can still boot from them when certain files are present? I doubt that the mbr could be inside of a file, because how would you ensure that it is exactly at the begiing of the partition. So what am I missing? Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I'm using Mac OS X, with the machine not joined to the domain. Some file shares in the company are now on the domain, and logging into these has just started causing failures, telling me that my password has expired. So now I have to figure out how to change my password. Following the solutions to the same question answered here lead to trying various things but nothing worked, which is why I ended up having to post a new question even though the description is very similar. I opened my PC and it was working fine. I have Linux Mint as an OS. Suddenly, while using Firefox, an error popped that: Firefox has crashed. I'm currently trying to coect to my Linux Mint guest via SSH on my Windows 10 host. Better said, I'm trying to coect to the guest successfully with particular firewall rules in mind. Using Virtual Box, I've enabled a host-only adapter for the Linux Mint virtual machine. When allowing any and all traffic through port 22 via the firewall with that particular allow all rule, I'm able to successfully coect to the guest machine using SSH from my Windows host. However, I want the Linux guest to only accept my IP for SSH. In other words, I want it to only accept my IP for port 22 (if that makes any sense). I've been using HP EliteDisplay E232 coected to my hp notebook through DisplayPort for some time now. I was so glad that I changed to DisplayPort from VGA cable because the display is much better and crisp through DisplayPort. I recently started using "HP port replicator 3005pr" for ease of coecting multiple devices to the notebook. Now I can coect headset, mic, network, keyboard, mouse, display etc. to the notebook through a single usb coector. notebook -> usb -> port replicator -> other devices through their own ports It's very easy and awesome. I'm asking here after finding and reading Why is my LAN not gigabit? Similarly, I have a CAT5e patch cable which will only coect at 100Mbps. All my other cabling is CAT6, but this one patch cable isn't. It is 30M long. From everything I read, that should be capable of gigabit, right? Swap it with a CAT6 and I get gig... no other changes. Is it a bad cable, or is 5e really not so giga-capable as I thought? I recently got a new inteet coection. When I am watching videos on YouTube, there is no buffering for 720p or 1080p videos. If I download these videos using YouTube Download Manager, I get a download speed of 1MB/s. However, If I download anything else from any other sites, my download speed is almost always below 100KB/s. Why does this happen? I have tried using IDM as well. Nothing increases my download speed. What can be the reason for such high download speeds for YouTube videos but nothing else. When I use some other inteet coection, I get the same High speed everywhere. The system in question is a laptop ruing Gentoo. On some occasions, I'll have been playing Minecraft (modded, under the Technical launcher), and then quit game and launcher, log out of X, and get a black screen with an unblinking cursor in the upper-left coer. This is the third time it's happened; the last two, I ended up rebooting. I would really rather not, though.
