Why I can´t change the wifi card

it´s a HP Mini 110 (netbook). It has Trisquel 7 installed, Ubuntu 14.04 based and 100% free software, and the wifi card is not supported by it. So I bought another one, but when tuing it on a message that says "104-Unsupported wireless network detected. System halted. Remove device and restart" appeared. So, how can I know which devices does it supports? Or i have to do some magic? (NOTE: The white circle in the photo is the HP logo)
