Background: A few days back I wanted to play AOE2 over inteet. For that I used Voobly application for finding the users and launching the game. But problem was that since my local ISP had blocked port 16000, I was unable to play. I asked the local ISP to forward the port 16000 and they didn't know what did that mean. After that I installed Hideme VPN application and it somehow did the port forwarding and I was able to play. Question: How does the VPN overcome the port blocking restriction? When you search on Google for ways to optimize computer speed, in almost all lists you see something like this - 3) Remove uecessary files from your disk to make your computer run faster. This 'advice' is literally everywhere. Everyone from online article and my father believe that full disk = slow speed. I don't understand how -- the disk is only used for storing long-term and temporary files, the RAM and CPU are what determine computing speed! I have a Asus Sabertooth Z77 motherboard with the latest updated BIOS. This motherboard has an on-board graphics card with a HDMI interface. I also have a video card itself, I've got an EVGA GTX 680 with also an HDMI interface. This on-board graphics card works well, when I tu off my main video card (The GTX 680) in my device manager or boot up in safe-mode, I've got the on-board card working. The interface that is being used is for some reason still coming from the GTX 680. Now I bought 2 monitors, which are both coected via HDMI, one on my GTX 680 and one on the on-board video card itself. I am using Excel 2016 from Office 365 on Windows 10 and I can't get my horizontal bar chart (stacked) to show my 3 sets of values on each stacked bar. Can anyone help? In InDesign CS6 on Windows I'm trying to add stroke between cells but not in the outer perimeter of the table/cells. The cell stroke dialog looks like this on InDesign CS6: In InDesign CC 2014 and CC2015 the dialog did not change, I tested both. In the web I found some help about this topic and I came to an image like these two (link one, link two): As you can see the cell stroke dialogs are different from the versions I tested because they allow the user to choose the stroke in the middle of the cell (vertical and horizontal middles). I´ve purchased a new monitor with 144Hz refresh rate. My old monitor support 60Hz. It got me thinking: How does vsync for a window work when it cover both screens? Do developers (like myself) have to make any special considerations for this to avoid performance drops or tearing? This question makes the assumption that vsync sync towards the slower monitor. This is at best plausible when the refresh rates has a decent common divider, such as 60Hz for a 60Hz and 120Hz screen. However if I set my screens´ refreshrates to 60Hz and 144Hz the common divider is 6Hz, ie not very impressive. Indeed, my faster monitor could be set to 59Hz, making the common divider 1Hz. I have had the same issue as well on different installations. As philosophickle said in his answer, try setting it through the control panel (+1). That has worked for me. Another option that has worked for me is to select a different browser, like Firefox, reboot and then (hopefully) Chrome will show in the list, allowing you to select it. Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I have a BitLocker protected Win 10 laptop (no TPM, just password) that's suddenly displayed this orange screen with white vertical lines - Windows 10 Shows Orange Screen with White Vertical Lines on boot Once at this screen I can only reboot or go to the BitLocker recovery screen. I don't have enough room available on my Mac to be able to Bootcamp it properly, so I've installed Windows 10 as a portable install on a USB flash disk using Rufus. It runs smoothly and it's fine for what I want - I rarely need to use Windows. However, I'm keen to take advantage of the free upgrade for a Windows 7 license to Windows 10 (a Win 7 Pro licence is around £20 at the moment) whilst the offer is still on for the next week. How would this license work with my portable install? I'd like to be able to use my USB stick with several different computers (including my Mac). Would this be possible?
