how long does it take to setup hot folders and is powershell the best to use?

I am hoping any experts out there in the field of powershell can help me.

I have 0 experience in scripting but i need scripts to be made to execute as follows :

I need folders to be made as hotfolders so the following would happen:

my downloads folder to move downloaded files to relevant folders/sub folders according to file name.So for example, if the downloaded file has the words 1ft x 1ft, then move to 1ft x 1ft folder)

once moved to the relevant folder the folder can then carry certain actions such as apply settings. example, any file in the 1ftx1ft folder would convert to pdf,resize to 12"x12" and then move to another specified folder.

also would need other hot folders such as:

Add email attachment folder. So this folder would attach files to google email, watermark and convert to low quality jpg. Is that possible with powershell?

I may also need other folders to convert to other file formats such as svg, eps, pdf, jpg and tiff. Is this also possible with Powershell?

and a regular print folder so can set parameters once. example a4, portrait , black and white, then whatever is put in to that folder will print.

log history of actions of whats been carried out

now as a beginner

how long would this take to lea to script??

Is it straight forward? and is it hard?
