I am using a INDEX, MATCH function in sheet Car Search to pull data from sheet Raw Data. One of the cells is Date Purchased, this will show the date in format dd/mm/yyyy (UK Format). The problem is, when I enter a date in this format, it doesn't correctly pull over to the Car Search sheet. Instead, it shows up 42350 when I entered 12/12/2015 in the Raw Data sheet. Both cells have been formatted to Date, but it is still showing up as 42350 and not 12/12/2015. Is it because the function is preventing it from showing date format? Anybody know why Excel does this? I have a Samsung 850 Pro SSD that I used at my previous job. I would like to reuse this SSD and clone the HDD on my current work laptop. I dont need any of the old files on the SSD. I have Sony Vaio svf15318snw pre installed with Windows 8. I have the recovery discs but they are useless due to the amount of scratches. I want to completely wipe the HDD and install a new copy of Windows 8. The problem is, the computer has a lot of OEM and reserved partitions. It also has a Assist button that starts BIOS, Recovery process and other things. Can i delete all the volumes, OEM partitions, reserved partitions and install a new copy of Windows 8? I guess It'll mess up the Assist button but would I be able to open the BIOS settings without it (F2)? I have a USB stick with some data on, and my XP computers can read and write to it just fine, As soon as I plug it into a windows 7 PC my computers are saying that the disk is not formatted. I have an Excel workbook (just a spreadsheet, really) that I live and die by every day. It is stored on Dropbox, and I will open and edit it as needed several times each day from my iPhone and/or my Mac. The problem is that when going to it, as saved by the phone, when I'm using the Mac, the file opens on screen formatted for the phone, missing columns to the left and to the right. I've tried everything I can think of...is there a way for me to open it on my Mac and have it formatted for my laptop screen? My version of i3lock is 2.7 (2015-05-20). I checked the manpage and there is -f option to show the number of failed unlocking attempts: -f, --show-failed-attempts Show the number of failed attempts, if any. It prints them on locked screen inside the unlock indicator, but I don't see any option to print it in console or output it to file. I want to get emails every time somebody tries to unlock my computer, and I need to pass every unlock failure to a script. Are failed attempts kept in a file or are they accessible in any other way? I have a problem with my new computer. Sometimes a toast is displayed telling that headphones has been coected to front panel of my PC case, and i never coected a headphone to that audio jack coector. This front panel is coected to the motherboard so it is directly related with the integrated sound card of the motherboard. I tryed formating, with two operating systems (win 7 & 10) and same problem. There are two posibilities. The motherboard can have a problem or the pc case can have a problem. Using Excel 2010, I've created a very large number of conditional formatting rules. You can see how small the thumb is - there are a lot of them. Unfortunately, the conditional rules manager dialog box is not resizable, so I can't see more than a few characters of the formula, and in many cases, I can't see all the cells that a rule applies to. I have two very similar worksheets in my workbook which need a nearly identical set of rules (same rules, just different columns in the formulas). I have a feeling that my mac is reformatting disks automatically. For instance, I coected my TDK 16GB usb to my windows machine first to see what was on it (it worked), and then I plugged it into my mac to put a windows software on it (the windows 10 wifi driver isn't working), and then when I plugged it into my windows machine, it said this drive is broken, I then checked the format via the disk management tool on windows, and it said it was a RAW type, but then I plugged it back into my mac, and it said it was MS-DOS (FAT-32)?! Today my friend told me that a USB is having a problem I told them I'll take a look. The problem was there were trying to copy a file to it which was 20-22 GB of size (the USB is 32 GB) and for no reason they have gotten a message the USB is not recognised or something like that and when they unplug-replug the USB it is unusable. I thought I can do a quick format so it can work again BUT my PC was unable to open the USB as well! Our app sends plain text emails. They appear fine in some email clients but the ASCII/text table lines are distorted in Outlook 2010. How can you force Outlook to view these as plain text without any formatting?...

I'm using data coections in excel to link to data exported from another software package. The analysis I do relies on dates captured by the software and it is very helpful to group by the dates and doing other operations on it. The spreadsheet I created last week worked perfectly and Excel handled the dates as it should. When I updated the coection this week, all the groupings in my pivot tables are messed up because Excel just treats the date string as text. I've got a functioning Win7 32bit Ultimate (SP1). I am trying to create an emergency backup disk and am trying to do it with a brand-new set of DVD-R. I have followed Windows format instructions. I've wasted 5 new disks. I can't get the formatting to work. I want a NFTS partition so I can have it if/when I need it.
