got an interesting question today from one of my users. they asked if there is a way to have a word 2010 document, lets say a protocol or meeting log containing plain generic content that may be exposed to anybody with access to this word file AND also having some confidential content (lets say sections or a column) that may only be exposed to "some users", either on access control lists or by password protection.

so access control "within the word document" is requested. but not just for editing, but for READING parts/sections of the document and prevent other parts from being read by users without a special confidential level or password.

a quick google search showed IRM . https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Information-Rights-Management-in-Office-2010-c7a70797-6b1e-493f-acf7-92a39b85e30c#__toc254684672

that "partly" goes that direction, but not far enough to fullfill that request.

Is there anything like that out there that can be achieved with Microsoft Office 2010 ?

thanks
