Excel: Workbook in Dropbox is used by an iPhone and a Mac...Screen format opens as if for phone

I have an Excel workbook (just a spreadsheet, really) that I live and die by every day. It is stored on Dropbox, and I will open and edit it as needed several times each day from my iPhone and/or my Mac. The problem is that when going to it, as saved by the phone, when I'm using the Mac, the file opens on screen formatted for the phone, missing columns to the left and to the right. I've tried everything I can think of...is there a way for me to open it on my Mac and have it formatted for my laptop screen?
