More than likely, your new laptop is using a SATA controller that is newer than what was shipped when Windows 7 was released. If Windows doesnt have the driver for the SATA controller, it caot see any disks that are coected to it. You should be able to go to your laptop manufacturer's website and download the SATA controller drivers needed. You will need to copy these drivers to a CD or USB stick. Make sure to unzip/pack them before copying them to the disk. During the Windows 7 installation, I believe at the point you are getting stuck at (I havent installed 7 in a long time, so my memory is failing me) there is an option to load additional drivers. I have an Excel file that generates reports using VBA. A portion of that process copies data from 1 file to append into another then saves the destination file. The process works on many machines with varying combinations of Windows and Excel. It has now decided to stop working for 2 of my users. These 2 users recently received new desktop computers with 32 bit Windows 7, MS Office 2013 (15.0.4787.1002). For these 2 users, the VBA prompts with the "Do you want to Save the file?" message. When they click Yes, the procedure completes but the file is not saved. All other users do not get this prompt, the file just saves and closes. I have a TP-LINK EAP110 Access Point. It is coected to my ADSL modem and NETGEAR WiFi router. Everyday we need to tu the PC, router and access point off. And whenever we start them again in the moing, the EAP Controller shows that access point is discoected. Then we have to make the EAP Controller forget it and then we adopt it again to the EAP Controller. I've built a new PC and coected the onboard graphics card (which has DVI-E, HDMI and VGA output) via VGA to an old Viewsonic monitor which has only a VGA coector. The monitor displays the message: "no signal". The same monitor was working fine with the old build (also coected to the on-board graphics card). The Ctrl+Backspace shortcut for deleting whole words is a feature in most text editors and text inputs. Due to their usefulness, they have become a part of my everyday typing habits. However, in Windows Explorer, when renaming files, Ctrl+Backspace enters a character instead of deleting the previous word. I want to format my cells in a way, where the colors are displayed according the the color-rule as in column 1 but the values that you see within the colored area are the ones of column 2. Column 1 displays %change from a reference. I formatted column 1 with the 3-color rule (lowest=-20, middle=0, highest=+20). Column 2 gives the originally measured values. Now I want to substitute the values in column 1 by the ones in column 2, but leave the original "column 1 color formatting" in order to use the coloring as additional information. A friend has two google accounts and one chromebook. Neither google account will display the app page on the chromebook. Prolly not helpful, but included is a screen capture of the message. screen capture showing the "Page Not Displayed" message Logging into any other computer using either of his two google accounts does properly display the app page. When I'm listening to a YouTube video in one tab, and in another tab I get a "Clink" notification that somebody sent me a message in Google Chat, the YouTube volume drastically decreases for about 10 seconds and then fades back in... This is really aoying when I'm listening to music.. Or anything at all on YouTube. I have no idea what's causing this. It could be YouTube/Chat itself (they're both Google...) I have a script saving pictures as .jpg. The script openes invisible using a .vbs script, sets focus to the specific window using another .vbs script. If I double click the .vbs startscript everything works fine and perfectely as it should. Unfortunately, if I start the .vbs startscript via task scheduler it does not work. It does not set focus onto the window, it does not save pictures. I do not understand why. What is the difference? The script is executed with the same user and with highest privileges. I use adsl broadband coection and when I unplug my lan wire and plug it back in, it does not coect even when trying to coect again and again, and shows error 691 or error 651, but the problem is solved when the modem is tued off and tued back on and recoected.
