I have an exteal hard disk, and for some reason, it is reporting wrong free space. In Windows Explorer, it is showing the used space is 378 GB. I tried ruing chkdsk H: /f /r, it seems to report the same usage as Windows Explorer, and it says that there is no problem. But when I tried selecting all the files inside this drive, it is showing much lesser usage. I've already set the setting to show all hidden files and folders, also show the protected OS files, but it still caot find about those missing files. And the difference is huge (282 GB). I've already cleaned the Recycle bin as well. What I am missing here and how do I identify those missing spaces? Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Hard Drive checking in Windows reports a lot of uecessary info, requiring that you read through it the chkdsk report, etc. Also chkdsk can't fix problems on an in-use files (like the Windows drive). It seems like a little thing, but a non-technical user can't understand ChkDsk results and it takes even a technical user a minute to read through the report for each hard drive. Is there a tool or built in service which will: Automatically check all drives for errors Report a simple "no problem" or "problem" Ideally, schedule a repair operation on the next restart. Teamviewer 11 is installed onto a Macintosh via an installer application. I think Teamviewer 10 is erased as the new version is installed. And that's not counting any resources in System Folders (e.g. "/Library/") that get installed or overwritten. I'm shopping for my first Android device, and I have a highly specific question which many hours of research has not answered. However, to someone with knowledge in this area, it may be a no-brainer. I don't mind rooting the device (probably a Galaxy Tab A) if necessary. Half my interest in buying an Android tablet involves using it as a second monitor for my Windows 7 PC. I'm looking for an easy (!) way to encrypt (and decrypt) USB volumes under Windows 10. Easier than my current practise: Currently, I've an True Crypt file on the USB volume and a portable TrueCrypt installation on the same stick. I plug the device in, run TC, select the TC file (have to reselect it, since the device has mostly new drive letters), select a drive letter to mount, and click ok, enter the password, ok. Have the new volume with encrypted files in/on. What I want: Plug the device in - password dialog opens automatically - enter password - device is there (encrypted). When someone logs into my computer with Teamviewer I have to unmute the mic. Is there a way to make that automatic? ...

I am ruing a Java web server and occasionally I see high keel cpu and the machine pauses for a number of seconds. During this time network activity, interrupts, context switches all drop off but the perfmon counter "System/Exception dispatches per second" becomes very high and correlates exactly with the period of high CPU. Exceptions in java code do not appear to map to this counter and instead show up as user mode cpu so it doesn't seem to be caused by the Web server code using java exceptions.
