Nowadays in my classroom I show video tutorials that I made for my students related to CG-apps, Excel, etc. using a utility that shows keyboard and mouse combinations named Moukey. for some cases like on a projector in the classroom it doesn't detect my Windows 10 and I don't want to call the technician. Also, I mostly like using OSX (of my dual boot MAC), sometimes and I'm looking for an OSX El Capitan version of this Key and Mouse Stroke Displayer. In conclusion, I'm looking for an OSX Version that can display mouse and Keyboard keystrokes/combinations with mode signs similar to Moukey. If it exists please give me the name of it so that I can search it in iTunes apps. Let's block ads! بخوا...

Why is my mac (Snow Leopard) asking me for installer changes (system.install.root.user) by itself? I do not recall doing anything to enable this. I feel like someone is trying to hack into my computer. I hope it is a false feeling. ...

I appreciate that my question is addressed in many other posts in some shape or form, but I still haven't been able to find any definitive answer. Advice would be appreciated. I presently have Windows 10 and Mac OSX El Capitan. I would like to back up both Windows (using Acronis) and Mac (using CCC) to a single exteal 5tb hard drive. The hard drive shipped with an NTFS Paragon driver (version 11 - so not the latest one). As far as I can tell, the NTFS driver functions fine - but I don't really want to rely on it for backup purposes as I have read that there 'can' be issues with data corruption. Is this true? Some posts say that NTFS is the best way to use an exteal HD with both OSX/WIN, othe...

Problem: When using google chrome browser (51.0.2704.103) on OSX (10.11.6) I often find myself losing my carefully ordered window placement between my many desktops. This happens if chrome happens to quit, or whenever OSX restarts. OSX tends to remember desktop allocation per application, but all chrome windows get bundled in the same desktop whenever chrome restarts. Motivation: This is crucial to me because I alteate different projects and for productivity reasons I have each project on a different desktop. Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I was wondering what the default cipher was for scp, if there's any. Do I have to explicitly specify a cipher or there's a default? I could not find this in its man, nor on the inteet. ...

I frequently work remotely, out of reach of WiFi, and simply rely on tethering my Mac to my iPhone for inteet access. This works great, except I am unable to coect to one of my client's Cisco AnyCoect VPN Network using my Mac when tethered to my iPhone. I have spent three years vaguely looking for a solution and the last 48 hours trying solidly, so would be grateful for help. To be clear: MacOSX coected to Anycoect VPN via wifi inteet works fine. MacOSX coected to VPN via tether to a Samsung S7 LTE works fine MacOSX coected to VPN via tether to an iPhone, via either Lighting USB or Wifi, does not work By "doesn't work" I mean that I have no inteet access whatsoever (chrome displays DNS_PROBE...

I have a script that runs in a tabbed terminal window which will periodically update the tab's title with some text using: printf 'e]1;Some Texta' This works great, but I'd like to take to take it a step further and colorize the text under certain conditions. I can set the actual terminal's text color by doing something like: printf 'e[31mRed Text' but, I can't quite figure out how to make this apply to the tab's title. I guess there are really two questions here: Is it even possible to change the color of the title text in the window/tab (specifically for OSX's Terminal)? If it is possible, what sort of magic is necessary to make this happen from a script? Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I'd like to observe requests from my machine to certain domains and optionally insert my own caed responses instead of the ones they provide. eg: any GET request to api.googlemaps.com I intercept and retu { test: "foo" } I'd like this to work for HTTP and HTTPS, though it'd be ok if I can't read the contents of the HTTPS messages, and just make up my own. I'm not sure how to get started on this. Any ideas? If it matters, I'm on OSX 10.11.4 Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I have a macmini - which stands behind a LAN with a static ip 10.0.0.2 - that serves as a VPN thanks to the OSX server VPN functionality. It works and I can access my network remotely. My macmini also hosts a virtualbox linux instance, coected with bridged + promiscuous mode. It has its own static IP (i.e. 10.0.0.4) and it's accessible from the outside thanks to the port forwarding (port 80). It works like charm from outside, but if I try to VPN-coect and I point my browser to 10.0.0.4, I'm not able coect to it. I can reach 10.0.0.2 (macmini) though, which shows the osx server page. I tried to traceroute: Matteos-MacBook-Pro:~ Matteo$ traceroute 10.0.0.2 traceroute to 10.0.0.2 (10.0.0.2), 6...

I have had a situation where I caont access the inteet and the network preferences list etheet interface coected to DSL modem has self assigned ip address and caot coect. It is set to coect via dchp I googled this problem and the instruction was to remove a file called com.apple.alf.plist from /Library/Preferences and then reboot. I did this and the interface to the DSL shows that it is coected but I still caot get to remote sites. One probable cause of the (dchp) self assigned ip address issue was a system up grade or a crash or other significant event. For this there has been nothing like that. I have been playing with the etheet cables and now the preferences list the interface as having ...
