What if someone else owns the domain on which your website sits? For example, as it was in the case of one of my visitors, someone may have bought the domain for you, and retained ownership of it. Or perhaps your website is on a free web host, or a blog host, and you are using the web address given to you by them. This article deals with how you can solve that problem (or potential problem)....

I was asked by a visitor why he couldn't dispense with a registrar and just make up any domain name he wanted. You may be surprised to hear that you can actually do that. But it won't do you any good....

I'm currently trying to connect my local machine remotely to my server in the office. The objective is to set this machine up as a domain oppose to workstation so it acts the same as if it was in the office. I've established a successful VPN to the Server with no problems. I tried connecting to the domain using xyz.local however it couldn't find it. I've then amended the ipv4 settings for the VPN for which the primary and secondary DNS are pointing to what the server gives out. Still no luck. I'...

I'm looking at a section of a website with the following URN/directory structure: http://www.domainNameA.net/site/www.domainNameA.net/files/dynamically%generated%URN_539.docx Why does the site have the domain name listed again in the URN? What is this likely to indicate? Let's block ads! بخوانید...

Let's say I work for XYZ Ltd and our email addresses are [email protected] . I have three colleagues [email protected]. [email protected], [email protected] . However I get spam with spoofed sender addresses say (apparently) from [email protected] and [email protected] and other obviously randomly generated names. So can I create an Outlook rule to only allow the three or four valid names from the domain and spam folder the rest? Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I have a room full of machines that I have been upgrading from home to pro (Windows 10). All machines that are NOT anniversary update 1607 can be joined to a domain with no issues. All that are the anniversary update will allow me to join to the domain and it restarts and asks for the useame and password. Put in my credentials and it provides a generic "cannot log you in" error message. I've also noticed lusrmgr.msc is missing (Local users and groups) in all of these 1607 upgrades. The earlier b...

Nowadays in my classroom I show video tutorials that I made for my students related to CG-apps, Excel, etc. using a utility that shows keyboard and mouse combinations named Moukey. for some cases like on a projector in the classroom it doesn't detect my Windows 10 and I don't want to call the technician. Also, I mostly like using OSX (of my dual boot MAC), sometimes and I'm looking for an OSX El Capitan version of this Key and Mouse Stroke Displayer. In conclusion, I'm looking for an OSX Version...

I have read this post however I still have a question. I understand that saying 32 bit processor implies registers of size 32 bit long each of which can hold up to 2^32 data. My question goes little bit further. So during the execution cycle, how does 32bit register span into the main memory? In order word, does it mean that each register can deal with 2^32 memory addresses so that any instruction in this region can be fetched in one clock cycle? Let's block ads! بخوانید...

This happens to me quite a lot, and I'd like to know if there's a way to prevent it or a better way to fix it than restarting my computer. The circumstances are very different to existing questions like “DNS server address couldn't be found” for some websites; it goes like this: I tu on my computer (Windows 8.1) and inteet router (which is either a 3G mobile router that I'm waking up from sleep, or a normal wireless router and modem that isn't on all the time because I'm in a country where there...

Recently started working as the tech support for a small company. Recently I leaed that they've all been experiencing graphical glitches with Microsoft Office that I think might be a symptom of larger issues. Has anyone ever seen a graphical error like this before and if so how was it resolved? Here's a video of the glitch: https://goo.gl/photos/E2oynsAXfNJMTaau9 It's affected both Office 2010 and 2013, other programs are affected at the same time, its not reproducible as far as I've been able t...

In OneNote 2013, let's say you're currently editing some text in a regular text box/field: Now I want to exit this text box and move the cursor somewhere else on the page. Pressing Escape doesn't work, neither do the usual suspects (Ctrl+Enter, Alt+Enter, etc.). Can I exit the box with a keyboard shortcut of some kind? I'm feeling a bit dumb because I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I'm trying to set up an IPsec connection between two Strongswan clients using RSA "sigkeys." The documentation says that leftsigkey and rightsigkey are used to provide the public RSA keys for the two participants, but I cannot figure out how to provide the private key for the "left side" participant. The documentation doesn't mention a way to do so, and this being asymmetric cryptography, of course that left side would nee...

People who have a subscription to the Microsoft Action Pack Network (https://partner.microsoft.com/en-us/membership/action-pack) get access to a bunch of products with legitimate license keys provided (https://www.microsoft.com/Licensing/servicecenter/home.aspx). In once case, I've noticed that they provide a download for a title and the key as well; however, when the software is downloaded the key seems to be bued into the image and ultimately does not match up to the key provided on the site. ...

It doesn't appear to have a lot of hotkeys per se, but it is navigable with the keyboard. When the How do you want to open this file? dialog appears, you can press Tab, Down, Space, End, Space to produce the normal Open with browser dialog. From there, Alt+Up moves up one level. To select an item, you can type its name and press Enter, or press Shift+Tab to move into the main area, in which you can use the arrow keys and Enter to open a folder or choose a file.
