I have Fedora 24 installed using Hyper-V on top of Windows 10 (aiversary update) Trying to get the Hyper-V vGPU working, but Fedora does not recognizing it, and it doesn't even recognizing the video device if i don't have the vGPU enabled. Anyway to get some video acceleration or even just fullscreen working on this setup or should i look at different Hyper-visors? Side Question: Would i be better off testing this with Server 2016 - Which has pass through? Ruing a cPanel server with ModSec. Trying to upload media to WordPress, any file larger than ~ 125KB is throwing a 404. In the Apache error logs, I found this being written on failed uploads: ModSecurity: Input filter: Failed to create temporary file /tmp/mod_security/20160827 Disabling ModSec restores functionality, but I hate to do that and would rather figure out what the issue is. I have been trying to install the Nvidia drivers on the latest version of Debian, but all I have been getting is a black screen. When I hit ctrl alt f2, I can get to a terminal, but I am not sure where to go from here. When I try to reinstall the drivers, the terminal basically says that these 3 packages encountered errors while processing: libgl1-nvidia-glx:amd64 Nvidia-driver Xserver-xorg-vidia-nvidia So clearly this is my issue, I just do not know how to fix it. My graphics card is a gtx 970 and I DID NOT use the driver installers from the nvidia website, I got them from the non-free Debian repositories. Any help would be appreciated! today i tried to install openSUSE Leap 42.1 on a SD-card. I used a USB stick as installation medium. So far everything has gone well. The installation finished without any problems. Then I went to the Bios to select the SD-card as Boot Option #1. But I couldn't find the SD-card there! What do I have to change in order to make the SD-card appear in the BIOS? Thanks for your help! windows 10 x64 pro, Asus z170p, BIOS version old. AMD graphics card. As you all are facing, I am facing the beta graphics driver-secure boot problem after windows 10 aiversary update, seems like microsoft hates non-WHQL drivers and I can't properly install beta drivers in windows 10 anymore. So I need to disable secure boot. But I can not disable secure boot from BIOS, the option is grayed out in BIOS. I even tried Windows->Settings Menu-> Update->Advance Startup->Troubleshoot->Restart-> UEFI FIRMWARE SETTINGS. The option is still grayed out. So I wonder how I can disable secure boot. So as the title says, I bricked my laptop. I'm not that good at explaining but let me try. I reformatted my laptop and installed the drivers given by the acer support, driver and manual site. and noticed my speakers aren't working. I opened my laptop to check if the speakers are still okay or the pins might have been discoected. I have a Dell Latitude E6540, Windows 7 Pro SP1; installed programs list includes "Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless Software for Bluetooth(R) Technology". If I right-click on that in Control Panel / Programs and Features, I get options for "Change" and "Repair". If I choose "Repair", it operates for a couple of minutes, then tells me that "Bluetooth Device Monitor failed to start"; it suggests I ensure that I have sufficient privilege to start system services (which I do; I run out of an admin account all the time on this machine). kinda unexperienced i was trying to setup the nvidia drivers according to a guide. http://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2015/fedora-nvidia-guide/ after the reboot the machine crashed gdm. I have been googling my problems for four hours and at this point i only get a black screen after grub. that happend after i tried reverting to nouveau just to get the machine into a working state. I can SSH into the machine and it works there. But the screen is totally black, but does not go into sleep so maybe there is some signal coming across. Currently my colleque is deploying some updates and Installations on 120 machines with PDQ Deploy. So far, everything works fine with silent install. However, one comes with some driver which requires confirmation from Windows Security. I tried to bypass this by disabling UAC, but still, this click is required. When iPhone is plugged in computer ruing Windows 10 it starts installing drivers. Windows doesn't show UAC screen, or user permission to install drivers. Sure, it is convenient, but what is the security model here? Does it mean that any usb stick can silently gain permission for arbitrary code execution? So, I'm currently ruing the RTM build of Windows 10 Enterprise x64 and I downloaded en_windows_10_enterprise_version_1607_updated_jul_2016_x64_dvd_9054264.iso and mounted the ISO on Windows as a virtual CD. I have a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD7 with 2 Sapphire Tri-X R9 390 cards and an MSI R9 390X. The MSI and one Sapphire are plugged into PCIEx1-PCIEx16 risers because I'm using them for mining ethereum. On the Device Manager and when I run wmic path win32_VideoController get name windows only shows two R9 390s and the built in Intel HD 4600 graphics. Yet when I run the claymore mining program, I start mining on the 390 and the 390x but not the second 390! (as verified by both the logs which recognize the 390x and the heat coming from the cards.) The native Sapphire overclocking tool recognizes both 390s and not the 390x... So the only program that 'sees' the 390x is the miner, but that one doesn't see...

I've recently purchased a new tower, and I've started setting it up today. I installed Windows 7 and booted it up, but I can't download/update drivers automatically because I don't have inteet and I don't have inteet because I can't get the drivers... I've been looking around online for an answer about the compatibility between Cardboard and PCB for the purpose of a Dust Cover. Found nothing, so I came here. The reason I'm thinking about this is because of two factors: one, that my Graphics Card's PCB is exposed and there is no backplate as some do these days, and two, my house is overly obscenely dusty. I end up dusting my computer every week or so as I fear the graphics card, above all else, would short circuit somewhere on the exposed microchips and solder leads from the backplate.
