I have Fedora 24 installed using Hyper-V on top of Windows 10 (aiversary update) Trying to get the Hyper-V vGPU working, but Fedora does not recognizing it, and it doesn't even recognizing the video device if i don't have the vGPU enabled. Anyway to get some video acceleration or even just fullscreen working on this setup or should i look at different Hyper-visors? Side Question: Would i be better off testing this with Server 2016 - Which has pass through? I have been trying to install the Nvidia drivers on the latest version of Debian, but all I have been getting is a black screen. When I hit ctrl alt f2, I can get to a terminal, but I am not sure where to go from here. When I try to reinstall the drivers, the terminal basically says that these 3 packages encountered errors while processing: libgl1-nvidia-glx:amd64 Nvidia-driver Xserver-xorg-vidia-nvidia So clearly this is my issue, I just do not know how to fix it. My graphics card is a gtx 970 and I DID NOT use the driver installers from the nvidia website, I got them from the non-free Debian repositories. Any help would be appreciated! I have Acer Aspire E5 laptop . From Ubuntu I shifted to fedora 23 . Thene sometimes I faced the problems of freezing . Recently I upgraded to fedora 24 . After some days same problem is arising in much more severe form . After using 20 to 30 minutes hardly system goes to freeze . Keyboard is not working nor touchpad . kinda unexperienced i was trying to setup the nvidia drivers according to a guide. http://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2015/fedora-nvidia-guide/ after the reboot the machine crashed gdm. I have been googling my problems for four hours and at this point i only get a black screen after grub. that happend after i tried reverting to nouveau just to get the machine into a working state. I can SSH into the machine and it works there. But the screen is totally black, but does not go into sleep so maybe there is some signal coming across. I am considering buying a Nvidia GTX 960 to put in a Proliant DL320 G6. The Proliant has: Dual Redundant 400W power supplies 2x Full sized PCIe 2.0 x16 slots From What I have read Nivida says 120W Graphics Card Power 400W Recommended System Power With current Hardware ILO shows I don't go over 200W... Thus I should Have 80W to spare, Right? I also know this would fill one PCIe Slot, but fill both PCIe Spaces. I am also aware that this card is meant for PCIe 3.0, Thus even with PCIe backwards compatibility I wouldn't get the full bandwidth. It looks good to me... I just received two Dell UltraSharp 24 U2415 monitors, which proudly boast "Award wiing monitor with unbeatable color". I am hooking these two up to a single laptop, an ASUS GL551K ruing Windows 10. One of them is via the provided Mini DisplayPort cable, the other through an HDMI cable to HDMI input on the monitor. The problem is they both look bad. The whites are yellow, and as someone who stares at a sea of code all day, none of the colors look familiar. They look fine on the laptop, nice bright whites, but both of the Dells are no good. I have a Dell Inspiron One 2320 pc with Ubuntu 16.04 and Windows 10 in dualboot. When i boot into Windows, everything works smooth. In Linux, xserver-xorg-video-nouveau driver is less tearing, but it is very slow. All nvidia binary drivers, even from PPA drive me crazy with their tearing, but they are really fast. Please help me! Last week, I installed Fedora 24. Previously, on the same computer, I was using Fedora 22 (Fedora 24 is a clean installation, not a package upgrade). What surprised me is that Fedora 24 is booting really slow in comparison with 22. The installation is/was the default one - I haven't changed anything in the system configuration. See the ouput of systemd-analyze: Startup finished in 1.328s (keel) + 2.985s (initrd) + 1min 31.705s (userspace) = 1min 36.019s I don't know how much time Fedora 22 was taking but I am pretty sure it was under 30 seconds... I have two columns. The first has 'Usage per day' and the other has 'Amount in stock'. I need a macro that would take the usage per day from the amount in stock every 24 hours so that I will know when I need to re-stock. I think it would need have a separate 'run' button for each cell because I would not be restocking each shelf at the same time so resetting each cell simultaneously may not work. Where would I find out how to make something like this (for a begier excel user)?
