I'm playing around with my fresh Windows 2012 R2 VM and am following this guide to convert it to a 'workstation'. I have network discovery on and all the other advanced sharing settings necessary on my server-tued-workstation. Hard Drive checking in Windows reports a lot of unnecessary info, requiring that you read through it the chkdsk report, etc. Also chkdsk can't fix problems on an in-use files (like the Windows drive). Assume I have my general dropbox folder, and my Photo/Video files in an another folder: /mnt/myhd/Dropbox /mnt/myhd/MyPhotosVideos Now, how can I upload all files from MyPhotosVideos to Dropbox without the need to copy/move them inside the Dropbox folder? I've created a bootable usb3 running an encrypted persistence version of the latest kali linux. I've successfully booted up from 2 other machines; 1 running windows 10 and a 2015 razer blade.
