Nowadays in my classroom I show video tutorials that I made for my students related to CG-apps, Excel, etc. using a utility that shows keyboard and mouse combinations named Moukey. for some cases like on a projector in the classroom it doesn't detect my Windows 10 and I don't want to call the technician. Sometimes I get flicker on my screen. It only happens, when I wake my computer from sleep. I can't do anything and is left with no other option than to restart, or tu off my computer, as it persist. Hi on a dell latitude laptop with Windows 10, for a specific user account keyboard doesn't work after the login screen. But it starts working back only when we launch on-screen keyboard application. And it also continues to work even after we close the on-screen keyboard. So far we've tried to uninsall keyboard driver but this didn't solve our problem. And nothing suspicious on system start. Sometimes my mouse accidentally moves too low, and gets over the taskbar while I am trying to scroll, which results in the active window being replaced by the next one, i.e. the next window pops up and covers my focal one. Note, that I'm not talking about scrolling among icons in a crowded taskbar that only show a fraction of windows (as can be seen in this image), neither about this issue, but about the fact that when I move my mouse wheel while being over the taskbar the next window will pop up without me clicking on its taskbar icon. As you all are facing, I am facing the beta graphics driver-secure boot problem after windows 10 aiversary update, seems like microsoft hates non-WHQL drivers and I can't properly install beta drivers in windows 10 anymore. So I need to disable secure boot. But I can not disable secure boot from BIOS, the option is grayed out in BIOS. I even tried Windows->Settings Menu-> Update->Advance Startup->Troubleshoot->Restart-> UEFI FIRMWARE SETTINGS. The option is still grayed out. So I wonder how I can disable secure boot. I am using a self-generated certificate for my mail server to which I coect through SSL/TLS. Due to the self-generated certificate which I have not added to the Windows certificate store, Thunderbird asks me to add an exception for this certificate in order to use it. So far, things went fine for years. Today, Thunderbird presented me a dialog to add an exception for my email certificate. Of course I was surprised and looked into the certificate details. Typically I'm using MikroTik embeded routers, they're basing on Linux so their firewall settings feel pretty much 1:1 the same as iptables, just commands are a bit different but mechanics the same. Some more advance MTK firewall functionality with raw iptables can be achieved using -m extensions - like coection states or comments for example. I can't find disable option in raw iptables. Is there any iptables extension that allows to temporarily disable iptables rules? By temporarily I mean disabling rule without actually removing it from table so that it's still visible in iptables -L but not functional. kinda unexperienced i was trying to setup the nvidia drivers according to a guide. http://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2015/fedora-nvidia-guide/ after the reboot the machine crashed gdm. I have been googling my problems for four hours and at this point i only get a black screen after grub. that happend after i tried reverting to nouveau just to get the machine into a working state. I can SSH into the machine and it works there. But the screen is totally black, but does not go into sleep so maybe there is some signal coming across. I have two HP Z27s 4k monitors coected via DisplayPort to my hp PC ruing Windows 7. Due to issues related to font scaling, I've been ruing both for at least a month at 2560x1440 without significant problems. [I was getting some random banding that powering the monitor off and on fixed.] Today, one of the monitors started flickering ~2"-tall horizontal bands of noise at random places on the screen.
