Fairly frequently, google drive on OSX will pop up with a message that tells me some files were unsyncable, with the offer to retry. I'm worried that these files will just go missing, or only be stored locally. Does google drive fix the syncing of these files later or if I do nothing will they just not ever be synced? Few weeks back I tried tuing on my old PC as I wanted to use it as a spare Television. After tuing it on, I realized it was having blue screen problem, so I tried re-installing windows XP but installing in previous windows XP drive(C) failed as a result I installed windows in F drive. After successful installation I booted my new windows from dual boot and started wiping data from C drive, at first I tried formatting C drive which failed then I started deleting individual files from C drive. I recently opened ~70+ Excel files all at one time (it was a massive data dump from a database which I was going to be locked out of in about 30 minutes, so I wanted to grab everything I could conceivably need). Unsurprisingly, my Excel crashed from the load. Upon restarting Excel, the Document Recovery pane opened and showed me all of the files. Is there a way to automatically have all the files in the Document Recovery Pane open up? I don't want to have to manually go through and open up 70+ documents by hand. well I don't know how to describe my problem with just a few words so the title can be misleading. I have .mkv file with list of embedded subtitles. I don't have any subtitles files in the folder, they're all already in the file. So, i need to display 2 of them simultaneously: e.g. english as 1st, main subtitles, and russian as 2nd. For this purpose i use KMPlayer 4.1.1.5. Problem is only with 2nd subs. I'm able to choose main subtitles: when i choose RMB -> Subtitles -> Subtitles languages, i can see list of all the embedded subtitles, it works well. But for 2nd subtitles i'm only able to open subtitles from subs file, not from the list: there is no list at all for second subs. I run a ubuntu nas with raid6, mdstat does not indicate that anything is wrong, but when i try to read files on the raid volume, i am only able to read about 1/4 of the file, and the file transfer fails/freezes. I have tried multiple ways of reading files on the array (copy, ftp, http lamp server, but it always fail. The same happens to every file i try to read. The raid array have been ruing for months with no problems, and i cant seam to find what is wrong. I hae also done a memory test which found no errors. My system drive has suddenly lost it's file structure and I'm trying to find a way to get it back to life without reinstalling OS. Is it real to make this beast work again without enormous amounts of time or should I just recover all the crucial stuff and reinstall everything? I have my bootable USB with some recovery soft, but TestDisk refuses to run after having unpacked seperately. Anyway, TestDisk is for recovering data, not the system itself, isn't it? Assume I have my general dropbox folder, and my Photo/Video files in an another folder: /mnt/myhd/Dropbox /mnt/myhd/MyPhotosVideos Now, how can I upload all files from MyPhotosVideos to Dropbox without the need to copy/move them inside the Dropbox folder? If I copy them this takes (a lot of) extra space. If I move them I risk deleting the files by the Dropbox daemon due to an (human) error. Can I solve this with hard links ? This allows me to make photos/videos available to Dropbox without taking extra space. If this is possible, what happens if the Dropbox deamon deletes a file represented by a hard link? I have the SanDisk Ultra Extreme Micro SD 64GB SDHC/SDXC Card CLASS 10 UHS-I (Not anymore at sandisk card section) and i use it in my Galaxy S4 i9500 phone to save pictures on it. I have windows 8.1 x64. Now, i insert the micro sd into Sandisk ImageMate All-in-one and coect it to my computer. I start transfering files from it and suddenly the device discoected! Even when i try to just see the properties it gets discoected. I must say it was allways working for me without any problems. Can you guys tell me why it is happening or how to fix that? The problem with working too late. In ssh I was trying to remove a folder I created in /usr/sbin but forgot to add the folder name so thus the entire sbin folder was instantly deleted. I do not have a backup of this folder (only of cpanel accounts). I did this by accident: rm -rf /usr/sbin Immediately the server was still fine. However, named would not restart. A couple hours later, the server went down. However, even though the server was down, httpd was still ruing. Well, eventually I got it up again by removing and reinstalling sshd and also reinstalling named and tweaking a couple things to get named started. I'm ruing windows server 2008 and windows server 2012 without issues so what is the use for keeping windowslogs files? All they do is take up space for no reason as far as I can see and I don't understand the need for keeping ANY logs that are older than one year, max. I have a Samsung S7 for which I bought a 200GB microSD card. I formatted it as adoptable storage (using an adb shell workaround because Samsung has actually disabled the Marshmallow feature by default). Now, I can store all maer of things on it, including about 17GB of music which I manually copied over. However, I want to use DoubleTwist Sync as I have lots of iTunes playlists that don't get copied over when manually copying files. I installed both the DoubleTwist PC app as well as the Android app but when I tried to sync, it just tells me that the device is out of space.
