I have a pair of earbuds with a microphone that I would like to record with instead of the terrible inbuilt one. Unfortunately, when I plug it in it still uses the inbuilt one. I have set up all the necessary configurations to set up a static host besides localhost (default) on Ubuntu, but I can ping the host I set with the /etc/host file but I cant use nslookup or the host command to resolve it. I have Aspire E5-571G-55ST laptop and tools like CPU-Z and Speccy show that I have 2/4 slots used... Even Windows Task Manager shows that I'm only using 2/4 slots... I am trying to dual boot windows and linux by putting my second ssd in this optical drive caddy. However, the caddy is not recognized by the BIOS. As far as I can tell from this site, I am running the latest version for my model (v1.21). I would like the fans to automatically adjust speed based on appropriate inteal temperatures. I have a dual-boot with Windows 10 and it works as expected under Windows.
