I have Fedora 24 installed using Hyper-V on top of Windows 10 (aiversary update) Trying to get the Hyper-V vGPU working, but Fedora does not recognizing it, and it doesn't even recognizing the video device if i don't have the vGPU enabled. Anyway to get some video acceleration or even just fullscreen working on this setup or should i look at different Hyper-visors? Side Question: Would i be better off testing this with Server 2016 - Which has pass through? I have an exteal hard disk, and for some reason, it is reporting wrong free space. In Windows Explorer, it is showing the used space is 378 GB. I tried ruing chkdsk H: /f /r, it seems to report the same usage as Windows Explorer, and it says that there is no problem. But when I tried selecting all the files inside this drive, it is showing much lesser usage. I've already set the setting to show all hidden files and folders, also show the protected OS files, but it still caot find about those missing files. And the difference is huge (282 GB). I've a question about SSH reverse tuel. I've an ubuntu server with sshd installed. I open ssh reverse tuel from a remote machines, on that machine the coection is restarted every time the tuel is interrupted. Whenever a tuel is opened, on the SSH server i can see two coection using netstat. One listening to the interal server port. Then other on an exteal port. The latter one is the SSH tuel. I have been trying to install the Nvidia drivers on the latest version of Debian, but all I have been getting is a black screen. When I hit ctrl alt f2, I can get to a terminal, but I am not sure where to go from here. When I try to reinstall the drivers, the terminal basically says that these 3 packages encountered errors while processing: libgl1-nvidia-glx:amd64 Nvidia-driver Xserver-xorg-vidia-nvidia So clearly this is my issue, I just do not know how to fix it. My graphics card is a gtx 970 and I DID NOT use the driver installers from the nvidia website, I got them from the non-free Debian repositories. Any help would be appreciated! Background: A few days back I wanted to play AOE2 over inteet. For that I used Voobly application for finding the users and launching the game. But problem was that since my local ISP had blocked port 16000, I was unable to play. I asked the local ISP to forward the port 16000 and they didn't know what did that mean. After that I installed Hideme VPN application and it somehow did the port forwarding and I was able to play. Question: How does the VPN overcome the port blocking restriction? Hard Drive checking in Windows reports a lot of uecessary info, requiring that you read through it the chkdsk report, etc. Also chkdsk can't fix problems on an in-use files (like the Windows drive). It seems like a little thing, but a non-technical user can't understand ChkDsk results and it takes even a technical user a minute to read through the report for each hard drive. Is there a tool or built in service which will: Automatically check all drives for errors Report a simple "no problem" or "problem" Ideally, schedule a repair operation on the next restart. windows 10 x64 pro, Asus z170p, BIOS version old. AMD graphics card. As you all are facing, I am facing the beta graphics driver-secure boot problem after windows 10 aiversary update, seems like microsoft hates non-WHQL drivers and I can't properly install beta drivers in windows 10 anymore. So I need to disable secure boot. But I can not disable secure boot from BIOS, the option is grayed out in BIOS. I even tried Windows->Settings Menu-> Update->Advance Startup->Troubleshoot->Restart-> UEFI FIRMWARE SETTINGS. The option is still grayed out. So I wonder how I can disable secure boot.
