I have a MacBook Pro and I ran Bootcamp to install Windows 10 Pro x64. All is well with both OS's. I know that I can't encrypt the entire Bootcamp drive, but everything I've read points to being able to use EFS to encrypt a folder, which is sufficient for me. I encrypted a folder, it went through the process, but never showed the directory as green. To confirm that it did not work, I booted to the OSX partition and was able to open all the folders on the Bootcamp partition, including the folder that has encryption tued on. That tells me that the folder is not properly encrypted. Other documentation talked about using efsinfo.exe, but I don't find it on my Bootcamp drive and the link to it fr...

My goal is to automate the OOBE process (launched by sysprep) by removing the need for a new product key to be entered. I already have a product key since I am launching this through sysprep. I would be fine with skipping the step completely since the system is already active. However, I thought it might be easier to just provide the product key already in use on the system. I'm trying to get Geektool to display a txt file, but the Geeklet stays blank. hopefully I've phrased the correctly appropriately! Using windows 7 Pro SP1 On my laptop, I have to use both a wired and wireless coection - some traffic (eg accessing specific systems) I can only access through the wired coection - and others only through the wireless coection. Both are company on-site coections - they're just not very joined up. At the moment, I have to switch between them through the day - if I leave both on, it's hit or miss which coection windows will try and use (but usually the wired), so I unplug/disable the one I don't want and then change back when I need it. Is there a better way of directing specific applications / protocols through to a specific coection? Or, if...

I had to reinstall Debian. Before the reinstall I have been using my server as a file share (using Owncloud). So, there's way too many devices on my wireless network, which I normally use to play games on. Usually, there's about 3 or 4 devices coected on wifi, not counting my computer, which is on wired coection. Right now, there's a few relatives living with us, and the smartphone count has gone up to 10-12. I have a network bandwidth fluctuating between 12-17 mbps throughout the day. I'd like to limit how much of that devices other than my computer have access to. QoS is not an option. I have full access to my router. Computer A and Computer D have not communicated ever earlier hence they both don't have their ARP table updated with each other's MAC address. So, I have a laptop with Windows 10 Pro, a desktop with Windows 8.1 and an old machine with Windows 7 Ultimate. They are all coected to a wireless network. I know how to share a particular folder or directory in a LAN, but am clueless how to do it in a wireless network so that any of the above machines can access a partition or a folder on a particular machine. I read something about creating a Workgroup but I couldn't quite figure it out. All I want is to make a partition on any of the systems 'common' so that it could be used as a common data dump site. Since updating to Windows 10 1607 (the "Aiversary Update") my shared WiFi adapter isn't shared any more. I share the WiFi coection with a Hyper-V switch so that my VMs have Inteet access via the Surface Pro 2's WiFi coection. But since the update, this only works after manually disabling and re-enabling Inteet Coection Sharing. Otherwise the inteet sharing doesn't work even though the option is set in WiFi properties. I have installed xampp and created a website, I want to access it online and I can not do that.. What I've done: 1. I have static ip from ips 2. I have static router ip so on my pc always ip is 192.168.15.102 3. I've done port forwarding : port 80 on tcp in my router. and it does not work with my real ip it works locally so if I access from my laptop with 192.168.15.102 it works but if I access from my real ip it does not ? I am currently using Ubuntu Mate 16.04. When the system starts up the NetworkManager applet does not display any wireless networks. The only "solution" I currently know is to issue sudo iwlist scan on the command line. Afterwards NetworkManager sees the networks and I can register to my WLAN. This is quite aoying to do every time I boot the system. Is there any permanent solution for this bug? PS: I have also confirmed with rfkill that the device is not software blocked.
