I am asking because some minutes ago my month-old Lenovo Y700 desktop (ruing windows 10) suddenly restarted itself. This is the first time anything like this has happened before. No blue screens and no errors. I know it wasn't due to temperature or strain on my GPU as the only programs I had open at the time were Opera and Adobe Acrobat DC. The only other thing I can think of is a power surge as we've had that once before and it fried my laptop several years back. I've installed a surge protector on the electrical outlet so my question is was a power surge responsible for the sudden restart or should I look elsewhere? I've attached the event logs here and here Let's block ads! بخوانید...

I'm following a guide for installing tomcat on ubuntu, and I'm stuck on a step which is to run the following command: sudo chmod g+r conf/* What does the /* mean? Does it mean make the change for all files in the /conf folder? When I run the command, I get the following error: chmod: caot access 'conf/*': No such file or directory this is what the folder looks like: bin conf lib LICENSE logs ... so the /conf folder is in there - other commands I run on the folder work ok: sudo chgrp -R tomcat conf sudo chmod g+rwx conf The guide is here: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-apache-tomcat-8-on-ubuntu-16-04 I'm at "Step 4: Update Permissions". Suppose there are 3 Lan users A(192.168.0.2) , B(192.168.0.3) & C(192.168.0.4). All of them are coected with home wifi router R(192.168.0.1). Now suppose user A hosts counter-strike with IP as mentioned above and port "27015". How B&C will be able to coect to A because each time they send request to A that request will be dropped by router because A didn't send any data to them first. So for this A has to instruct router via "uPnP" that pass those packets which are coming for port "27015". If I'm not correct then tell me how Lan wi-fi users coect with each other for multiplayer? If "uPnP" is not valid here then how user B&C are able to coect with A? I guess using ARP? I am looking at these memory specifications for an Intel® Core™ i7-4790K Processor. Specifically I am interested in the following which have these tool-tips. The first seems reasonably clear, but the second does not. Max Memory Size Max memory size refers to the maximum memory capacity (in GB) supported by the processor. Memory Types Intel® processors come in four different types: a Single Chael, Dual Chael, Triple Chael, and Flex Mode. Am I correct in the following? Max Memory Size is the maximum amount of RAM this CPU will work with. E.g. I could plug in 64GB RAM, but only 32GB will be used. Memory Type is the supported RAM configurations, where "1333/1600" is the supported MHz of the RAM....

I'm having problems where email is showing up in an account that it is not being sent to. Email was sent from a PHP form with the intended recipient of xyz@ymail.com but the emails keep showing up at wrongaddress@earthlink.net Is there any way to tell if this is being caused by a filter or something at the ymail address that is automatically forwarding stuff to the earthlink address? If someone on the IT staff of an enterprise describes their company as "entirely virtualized", what exactly does that mean? (In reference to the workstations) Does it mean that instead of each PC in the company having its own copy of (for example) Windows 7 installed on the hard drive, there is some kind of central VM server shooting out hundreds of virtual Windows 7s to each PC? In the Hook Scripts section of the Settings of TortoiseSVN (version 1.9.2, on Windows 7 x64), there is a checkbox "Always execute the script" in the "Configure Hook Scripts" dialog: The same checkbox is also present in the Properties dialog for "Local hook scripts". What is the exact meaning of that?In what situations is a hook script not executed unless this checkbox is ticked? In the help documentation it is not mentioned at all, the snapshots do even not show that checkbox. The only thing I found out so far is:It does definitely not suppress the "Approve or reject client-side hook script" prompt. Let's block ads! بخوانید...

It means the photo was shot wit High Dynamic Range. HDR mode is sort of a method to make photos have less contrasted exposure differences (at least how I understand it). For example, if there's a scene you want to shoot that has a really bright area (maybe the sun reflecting off a window) and also a dark area or two (an alleyway or shaded porch), a normal shot would expose for one of the extremes, depending on your choice. Exposing for the dark area would leave the light one washed out. Exposing the light area would leave the dark ones too dark to see. HDR does its best to expose for all light levels in the shot at the same time, so hopefully you will be able to see the things on the dark po...

Wi-Fi isn't short for anything Source: http://www.webopedia.com/DidYouKnow/Computer_Science/wifi_explained.asp It's simply a trademark. It does not stand for the commonly thought "Wireless Fidelity" (or your Fi guess, "Frequency Interface"). The term Wi-Fi, commercially used at least as early as August 1999, was coined by brand-consulting firm Interbrand Corporation. The Wi-Fi Alliance had hired Interbrand to determine a name that was "a little catchier than 'IEEE 802.11b Direct Sequence'". Phil Belanger, a founding member of the Wi-Fi Alliance who presided over the selection of the name "Wi-Fi", also stated that Interbrand invented Wi-Fi as a play on words with hi-fi, and also created the W...

My device 1 is showing an error that I've never seen. The same code is ruing on device 0. It won't keep, dies with no error, on device 1 (due to the ERR!). Is this a hardware or software thing?
