i have this challenge that i want to Network my devices (smartphone, laptop, tablets) This is the case: I have a laptop that contains all my files (songs, pc games, movies, ebooks etc.). this laptop has keyboard problem and is static as the case maybe; Now, i want to create a Home Network scene whereby I can access any of these files (by access i mean, view, copy/download any of the files without an inteet coectivity) WIRELESSLY from any of my devices (smartphone, tablet, pcs) when they coect to the laptops' Network. so it'll be more like pc, tablet, or phone coects to the static laptop Network, then searches through and then copy any file(s) that is inside that static latop. i've heard and ...

Normally, if I wanted to copy files from a remote machine I would do scp user@remote.device:/folder/* . However, in this case there are so many files that get I the error bash: /usr/bin/scp: Argument list too long Now, from googling this problem I can find several ways to create a tar archive on the remote machine without triggering this error. However, in this case the remote machine only has a small SD card for storage so there is no space to create an archive. So what would be the normal way to transfer the files in this case? I am ruing Windows XP and have a phone mounted through USB by MTP. In Explorer, its address is: My ComputerSAMSUNG-SGH-I547PhoneDCIM I would like to execute a command line command such as explorer "My ComputerSAMSUNG-SGH-I547PhoneDCIMCamera" so as to quickly go to the Camera folder. (Right-clicking the device or anything in it does NOT provide a "Create Shortcut" dialog.) But "My Computer" is not a valid PATH in Windows. Unlike USB flash drives, it seems the phone mounted by MTP does not get a letter drive name. So, what is the path of an MTP device in Windows? I've just purchased a cheap surveillance camera for my apartment. However, while the subnet in my apartment is 10.0.0.0/24, the camera comes with a fixed IP of 192.168.1.10. You can change the IP, but you have to coect to it first. I can see in Wireshark the unanswered arp requests of the camera to 192.168.1.1. So I decided to 2 arp entries in my computer to bind for 192.168.1.1 (direct it to my routers MAC), and to 192.168.1.10 (direct it to the camera's mac). I set those entries to be "published", I thought it means my computer will answer for an arp requests of the camera, and the router. When adding the router as a published entry, with this command line: sudo arp -s -i wlan0 192.168.1.1...

I have Linux Mint 17.1 (rebecca) MATE edition and a HTC One mini 2. My computer is able to mount the device, and I sometimes get access to both the inteal memory and the SD card in the phone. However, behavior is VERY unstable. Sometimes, after the device is mounted, it would unmount and later remount again. This would happen in the middle of file transfer sometimes. There is one router in the house and it's coected to the TVs via cable and has Wi-Fi. Occasionally one of the devices coected will lose the coection. For example my phone will stop getting the WiFfi from the router, but the laptops and the TVs will work fine. Or only one TV loses the coection and everything else can still use the Wi-Fi. Restarting the wireless client device doesn't work. The only thing that can fix it is restarting the router itself. I have a Asus x553ma that was ruing W8. In order to reinstall W8 (the machine was, being polite, sluggish) I wiped out the entire HDD and formatted it to ntfs (using Gparted Live), then I tried do recover de W8 product key from de UEFI via a bootable cd with lazesoft recovery suite (I was assuming that during the W8 installation process the PK would automaticaly be recovered and applied since it is on the UEFI). The cd didn't work and now the bios is not showing ANY boot device. What could it be? I've tried to reset the bios to factory settings, didn't worked, I've tried to insert again the W8 cd, jumps straight to bios (in fact the machine is jumping always to the bios, there's not boot dev...

I have an odd scenario. I had a 5v 22 LED DotStar string attached to an Arduino Leonardo++ coected to my Acer r3 laptop via USB. One of my colleagues attached 12v to the LED string, causing it, the Arduino, and my laptop to stop working.
