Coecting to Wired Coection Ubuntu 14.04

I'm ruing Ubuntu 14.04.

I need someone to tell me the steps I need to take to fix this issue...

It's not my Internet problem because I'm able to wired in on my other laptop. So it's obviously something wrong with my laptop. It makes no sense that It was working perfectly fine yesterday and then today dead... I did not installed anything .

Things to know

• My mac address is not blocked (contacted my Network Administrator)

• Wired coections works when I got home but not at work. Tested the wired coection on another laptop and it works

• Ethernet port is not damaged. Test it out with an adapter(same outcome)

What are the steps I need to take to diagnose this?
