Using Keepass 2 with Windows 10 Microsoft account

I'd like to use Keepass 2 to store my Microsoft account's password, however as the Windows sign in password is tied to the Microsoft account it would be impossible to sign in to my computer.

One possible alteative is to setup a pin, picture or other means to sign in but if I reinstall my Windows I still have to sign in during the setup. PIN is also numeric only, which is less secure than passwords.

It might be possible to create a local account during setup and change it to Microsoft account later with PIN setup. I'm not sure whether settings sync would work correctly or not, but it still rely on PIN not a password.

Is there any way that I could use a local password to sign in on Windows, and secure my Microsoft account with password manager while my Windows settings sync to my Microsoft account?
