I am running Apache 2.4/mod_wsgi 4.5.3/python 3.4/Django 1.9 on RaspbianJessie on a Pi Zero. I have just a couple pages of my own that are pretty small (a few buttons and some CSS).
If I have made a request recently everything loads fast and runs fine. If the server receives no requests for a while (usually minutes, sometimes hours) it will take 5-10+ seconds to handle the first request after this idle time and then go right back to running smoothly.
I am using mostly default settings for both Django and Apache.
What can I do to improve this first response time after a period of being idle/debug further?
