Duplicate calendar events in Gnome calendar when using Google account

As the title says, I have a little problem with Google calendar in Gnome (Version 3.20.2 to be specific).

I successfully added my Google account to Gnome, but after opening the calendar/notification thing that is located in the middle of the Gnome top bar I noticed that all my calendar entries are shown twice. For example birthdays are shown two days in a row. The same goes for every event aswell.

I have tried to enable/disable calendars in gnome-calendar, but that didn't help

Gnome: 3.20.2 OS: fresh Arch install, up-to-date

I'm not sure if there are logs that are relevant. I'll provide if needed.
