Ruing a script after yum-cron on CentOS 7.3

I have yum-cron ruing every night, but it only does security updates, as one daily update to a particular software breaks it, and it has to be repatched right after.

I was thinking of solving this by ruing our patching script right after yum-cron. I'm not sure how to do so, as yum-cron seems to be started by /etc/anacrontab at a random hour.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?
